Halo 4 assists

Heres my spin on assists.

It should work like a pizza

for each shot put on a person your pizza goes up 1 slice until its full and you get the kill or someone else kills them and you get a certain amount of pizza slices depending how many shots you put on them. Also make the assist reset time slower. say you keep each slice for 10 seconds after you got it, if the person isn’t dead after those 10 secs that slice disappears.

Same for wheelmans, each time your gunner gets and assist you should get half a wheelman, these count towards your total wheelmans. eg to get a wheelman spree your gunner could get 4 kills and 2 assists.

So whoever does more damage gets the kill even if they don’t fire the killing bullet?

No, the final bullet still gets the kill. Its just regulating assists so you know whose helping the most.

Often I land 2 or 3 shots on someone and it isn’t an assist which can be annoying. Similarly when your gunner gets a sidekick and your getting nothing for driving him around.

This just means your being recognised and rewarded for everything your doing. No matter your playstyle.

Ah. Makes enough sense. Would this apply to anything (eg. cRs,XP after match) or whatnot?

Would increase your assists on your stats and increase your credits.

A full pizza of assists could give you the same a kill does I suppose. It depends on what 343 is using in place of credits/ XP

I feel the same way, this coming from a guy who gets allot of assist (think I have over 4000). Hope something like this gets implemented for Halo4, would be nice.

I kinda like this. I do know that Reach’s system was frustrating though. So I hope they improve on that.

I think there’s alot of things they could do to improve on reach’s current one.

Sounds like a good idea, but to keep things balanced they should have 1 kill for every 4 assists. And for wheelman they should have half of the ammount of kill the gunner gets.

So like a total damage done sort of thing?

So if I dealt 40% damage to 3 opponents and each time someone finished them off, I would get 120% in assist damage? If that is the general idea then I like it.

Would you get 2 assists if you shot them twice then they died?

It would be neat to see shot accuracy tracked.

Agreed, if a 1000 threads on CSR are allowed, how is this in the wrong forum?

On point: I think that the scoring for assists are out of whack. There are some games were some -Yoink- is getting the last shot in and awarded the kills…

The end result is a slightly negative K/D but double digits assists… and a low score in BTB…
