I saw the leaks and the assault riffle for halo 4 looks like the one from halo 3 which is very out dated. why fix the BR, DMR (which was already up to date) but not the assault riffle? The assault riffle from halo reach looked amazing, looked like a real gun, now the halo 3 one looks like an ugly fish.
i really hope they have it like the halo 3 one in pics just because the game is still in development, i really hope they fix that and use the halo reach version on the assault riffle.

The DMR and the Battle Rifle looked too similar, and because both are in the game and the DMR is newer, they updated the BR more than they did the DMR.

yea but they updated the BR but they didnt even try to make their own version of the AR? sounds cheap
The Halo Reach version is an older model of the AR series, the Halo 3 version is newer. Reach was a prequel, it’s weapons are older variants of the ones we see in Halo 3. It would make far more sense to use the Halo 3 one than the Halo Reach one. Especially since MC placed a Halo 3 version AR next to his cryo tube, and it would make no sense for the AR to change in design drastically.

I agree, but why has the armour changed visually that much, if you use your logic.
The MA5 series, including the Army MA5C variant known as the “MA37 Mk.IV”, is meant to be fielded on a massive scale for every soldier and Marine in every corner of Orion-Cygnus. Simplistic utilitarian design is key to that and the MA5C fits the bill perfectly. From what I’ve seen of Halo 4’s slightly improved design, I am very pleased.

Either Cortana did indeed upgrade the entire suit, it was an artistic change, or there is still an unannounced reason behind it which will be revealed later.
