yay, no question about it. Assassinations were one of the things that made halo: reach a very unique and powerful game
When I 1st saw the assx, I thought, man that is gonna cause some game play issues…
It turns out they haven’t and even though it is more flash than skill, it does look cool and I do like them and I REALLY REALLY LIKE YOINK.
Yoink is the ONLY thing in Reach that makes me
… not the consequence of stealing kills or anything like that, just the Halo man saying ‘Yoink’ cracks me up…

Down on the D-Pad should be for assassinations.
Yay. I do not see anything bad in that. But the Yoink has got to be taken out. If someone is about to kill them, they get the kill, unless fir the enemy team does a showstopper. I like those.

Im all for assassinations in Halo 4, but they need to think of a new name for it or the old assassinations & it has to be an epic name…maybe we need to come up w/ a name for 343 industries. Also someone said an option for assassinations you want to do. Maybe 5 different kinds for each direction, left, right, top, under, also if crouched from each direction has at least 2 kinds then 5 more different kinds while in air. I would like to have a choice of which one is done, but also taking more ideas from Gears maybe each weapon would have 2 different kinds of assassinations which would mean 52 types of assassinations w/ each weapon.
you should be able to choose three moves your guy will do to the enemy for taking them our, so you could have three layers of actions like this
(there would have to be an animated preview)
1st selection [initial attack]; grab shoulder, a kick behind the knees, grab head, knock down.
2nd selection [drains shields]; knife torso, grab head and twist while pushing player down to ground, kick face, shoot with small arms weapon (if one is equipped).
3rd selection [victim dies] blade twist, evisceration, snap neck, stomp head, stop shooting weapon.
that’s just a rough idea, but it would be epic!

Yay if you can go to options to turn it off so you dont accidentally do an assassination.
And different animations for objectives like the flag and skull would be awesome. Imagine how awesome it would be if you stabbed the opponent with the flag or grabbed the enemy with your left hand and smashed the oddball into his face three times.

Too many people complained about it being useless in Reach. (Which is debatable, since it gives your more credits than just a good 'ol back-smack.)
Of course, the toggle idea is pretty awesome, and would like to see it implemented.
Oh, and before I forget, I believe a more rewarding…reward would be awesome. (Like more Achievements, or Armour, and XP/Credits, Etc.)
Yay. Assassinations add a bit more fun to the game and let you (sort of) T-bag your opponent without actually T-bagging them. They should make more weapon specific assassinations, I oh so want to stick a needler in the back of someone’s head and watch the sparks fly.
As long as they are creative and look cool, as well as your choice(aka press to melee hold to assassinate) then I’m alright with it. even in the books it would say how John or others assassinate their enemies and was psyched when it was first announced in Reach. Although I do agree with what someone on the first page said, (sorry for no quoting) that the moment their shields sparks, its YOUR kill no matter what. You can get yoinked BEFORE that, aka, they were one shot anyway and someone BARELY starts that animation. i dont mind yoinks in that case, but standing there and waiting THEN shooting them when they are 1 shot is BS.
