Halo 4 Armor

Maybe I missed it in the game but I was wondering if there’s any story explanation for why Master Chief and the covenant armor changed (looks different). I really enjoyed the game, thanks.

The only reason that I can think of is that the covenant are a different part of the covenant, a breakaway group if you like, hence the fact they all look different, the chief; they just decided to put some wear an tear on his armor to make him look all beat up from his long battle. These aren’t actual reasons, they are just my reasons.

I don’t know, haven’t really noticed it to be honest. Will look into it though.

The covenant remnant wear different armor since they’re a splinter group of covenant. As for Master Chief his armor got upgraded by Cortana during his cryosleep via firmware.

Ok, so the covenant in halo 4 are far away from the covenant in Halo 3 so they may not have received the news that they have sided with the humans and that’s why they attacked Chief they also wore different armor because it was a different place they were at, like soldiers fighting in a dry arid place compared to soldiers fighting in a cold humid place. Armor changes based on the environment. As to Chiefs armor as Cortana said in the beginning of the game she said she made some improvements to chiefs armor and to herself because since chiefs armor is mostly robotic she could manipulate it.

343i took over and wanted to make something new and put their own mark on Halo right off the bat. I think they did an amazing job.

The way they did the armor in Halo 4 was great, from the graphics to the amount of armor’s there is that you can choose and customize.

Remember there is a 4 year gap between halo 3 and 4 and i quote Cortana “A lot can happen in 4 years…”
