Halo 4 Armor?

How should Halo 4 Armor be distributed to players? Should it be rewarded to each player by the playing time that each player has put forth to reach a certain rank (similar to Reach), or should it be given to each player by the completing the Campaign (Normal, Heroic, Legendary) like Halo 3 was? Or should the Armor Distribution be a mixture of the two. Some Armor given to you by the campaign, some by rank, and some by your skill achieved in Ranked Playlist (if there happens to be one).

I personally think it should have three sets

Campaign Armor
Cr Armor
Skills Armor

I think there should be a combonation of the 1-50 and the cR system. All armor is unlocked at start, but you need cR to buy it. You get cR from playing games, just like Reach. But to rank up, you need to increase your skill, like Halo 3. There. Best of both worlds.

Personally I don’ believe you should unlock armor via highest skill rank up. The armor should be available to everyone, regardless of skill level. You shouldn’t restrict someone’s ability to customize their armor to their preference simply because they’re a bad player. Not everyone will have the skill to get to a highest skill of 50, achievements and credits are acceptable however because anyone can get them given enough time.

Maybe have one form of badass armor for top ranking players, like the Haunted helmet. But don’t make much of the armor unlock-able by highest skill. Some people, like me make it a statement to make their Spartan as unique and fitting to their personal tastes as possible. Limiting the armory based upon a players Highest Skill is just a bad idea.

I like the idea of having a ranking system based upon skill, with a secondary ranking system which is based upon Cr like Halo Reach’s.

For instance, your credits determining your tier maybe. Like being an Onyx General, or Gold Brigadier. Something of this nature. Your tier could determine the items you unlock in the armory.

For instance you could be ranked at Lieutenant and be Onyx tier and still maintaining the number of custom options in the armory as an Onyx General or Inheritor or Whatever. Your armory would simply grow based upon the time you put in to the game.

Armor should be unlocked based off of achievements or performing a certain goal. Now to mix things up a little, have some armor pieces that have to be unlocked through credits.
Maybe a armor piece for playing 1000 games?

Whoops, double post.

I agree with you apart from the rank system , although I hope the rank system is brought back , it shouldn’t be used in such away that it restricts players from unlocking armour.Remember , some people want to play for fun and others may not have the time to get to that high of a rank.

Sorry, guess I misread. e.e

Regardless what I described is still different from what you suggested.

On a note, you didn’t have to bold and increase the font size in your response pointing out where I misread. I can see the words just fine.

I sure am gonna miss having a good feeling when there’s a recon guy on my team,it was great but most of you guys are killing it for me

I think it should be a mixture of Halo 3 and Reach system but should lean more on the Halo 3 system.
