Halo 4 armor vs. Reach armor

Yeah was my favorite Helmet in reach too… I’m so sad because it’s not in the Game:/

> But most of all Mark V isn’t back so RvB must live without caboose because he and the Mark V belong togehter

I HATE…I MEAN SERIOUSLY HATE Halo reach’s armor. To meh and the lower body look like chaps. It should of had a butt plate and add ons/effects did not help the armor look better.

Personally I preferred Halo Reach’s armour, looked more realistic and less “cartoony” a lot of the helmets have no visors now in Halo 4, or they are really really weirdly placed visors instead. The result is some ugly looking helmets in my opinion…

At least they don’t all look the same. I like H4’s visor colours and visored helmets, but for everything else, Reach.

Reach had more customization as far as attachments, but 4 has more variety for armor. I picked 4.

Nearly every aspect of Reach > Halo 4

I wish i was kidding because i didn’t like Reach

I didn’t like Reach’s armor because of how the color on the armor was balanced. Almost all the helmets and chests lacked secondary color, leaving the only secondary color on the lower legs and forearms. To me that seemed in balanced and off. In halo 4 they fixed that, but now the upper part of the black under suit is the same as your primary color, creating an imbalance in colors once again. If the under suit would have been all black like in past halos, halo 4’s armor would have been undoubtedly the best to me.

I think that too many armors in Halo 4 - especially helmets - make you look more like robots from Japanese anime than a Spartan. They don’t look bad per se, just weird.

In Halo: Reach I hated how the armory felt incomplete. You had your basic armor sets with a helmet, chest piece and shoulder pads. Then there were about half a million different chest pieces that belonged to no armor sets that all looked the same and some were slapped with a robot arm. I believe there were a few helmets that had no complete armor sets as well but I am probably mistaken. The other sections of armor customization did not feel important at all and just seemed boring. I really liked the visor color option but the number of colors was PATHETIC. I also really hated the actual color of the Spartans. It looked grainy and chipped in such an ugly way. I think a war torn look could be cool, but I just did not like the way it turned out. I just prefer the way it looked in Halo 3/4. I also want to say that I am not bashing the effect and voices you could get for your character. I thought that was done really well.

I like Halo 4`s armory because they did not overdue all the extra pieces like in Reach. It felt complete. There are some sets of armor that I greatly dislike though. I REALLY like how they improved the visor color variety! I still felt there could have been more done with the armory, but it still feels solid and not random. So for me, I will have to go with Halo 4.

Before you ask, yes I am serious. I am also fully prepared to get the “abomination Halo fan title” for my opinion. Seems extreme but I feel it should be said considering how some people are on here…

I loved Commando in Reach and the ole Mark V, those spartan’s looked like real super soldier tanks… Don’t get me wrong I love Halo 4 armor like the Scout, Recruit and Soldier armor sets… But other than that it’s all way to funky and Power Ranger looking to me… Needs to be a little bulkier and show more wear and tear on the outside.

Ps… WE NEED SKINS THAT EFFECT A HELMETS VISOR!!! Like the Recon Surge helmet!

The Halo Reach armor had more of a militarized texture to it. It was worn, bulky, and menacing, like I was actually a super soldier in the UNSC military. I like it better.

I like the Reach armor better because of how it made Spartans look as described, Strong super soldiers. I also really like the coloring, and the lighting made it better. The extra attachments to the armor made the spartans look more realistic, and they added a ton of variety to how you could make your spartan look.

Halo 4’s is nice, but some of the colors are just too bright, and because of Halo 4’s lighting they look plastic at times. The design of Halo 4’s armors (Even the Chief’s) are all missing the belt piece, and it makes the armor look incomplete in my opinion. Also, some of the armor sets look really ugly or look really odd. I love how there’s more visor colors, though, and being able to change every armor piece from helmet to legs is pretty sweet. However, I find the lack of a true gold visor very very disturbing… The only way to get close to a gold visor is to wear legendary on the second operator helmet skin.

Over all, I think Reach had the better armor. However, all of that aside, I miss being able to play as an elite. That was way cooler than playing as a spartan IMO.

Halo 4 only wins because of Visor colors, other than that, i hate almost all the H4 armor, it looks like they took 5 minutes to create it. All of the armor except for helmet and visors, looks exactly the same.

Reachs armor was unique, and although there was less of it, at least the peices looked different. If reach had more than 3 visor colors, it would win hands down

Reach armour actually looks like it belongs in Halo! I mean, what the hell is this supposed to be? halo4nation.com

It just looks ugly.

Halo armour should look like this:

They all look like the belong to the same franchise, not Dead Space…

Halo 4 armor has some pretty sweet ones (Venator IMO) and then some god-awful ones (Pioneer IMO)
But what I miss from Reach is the visors. Not necessarily the colors but the sheen.

Well I like both armor in both games, can’t really decide. Halo reach armor it look like spartans scavenged of of the field wile halo 4 armor looks cybernatic.

Reach had better armour imo. The armour looked more realistic and it was easy to tell each piece apart.

More importantly Reach had ODST and Mark V (i.e. the best armour sets in the Halo universe).

I dislike the overall unnecessarily bulky, weathered, and mismatched armor in Reach. Spartans aren’t rusty and covered in what looks like spare parts. Just no.

And I also dislike a majority of halo 4’s armor and color schemes. So it really is a toss up on which I dislike more.

Halo 4 armor looks a bit more like what a spartan would actually wear but is designed in ways that I do not find appealing whereas Reach armor is designed ok but is overall too big and in a state of disrepair that no Spartan would ever be allowed to fall into, so they both kind of suck in their own special way

Elites.

But I do love Halo 4 and reachs armour but I liked reach a lot more then 4 because of the shoulders. You could actually mix and match them with out them looking out of place to the other while in 4… they just always look weird.

But I do love the armour sets in 4.

The only reason I like Halo 4 armor better is because it has the Classic Scout Helmet, my favorite armor variant since Halo 3.
