I heard that certain armor skins in Halo 4 will only work with certain armor.(Like camo skin only available on HAZOP armor) Is this true? If so then what the hell?

Skins are weapon/armor specific. What a dumb move! I want to wear Forest Skin, but I have Hazop in-order to to it? I think Hazop is one of the ugliest armors in the game (probably the ugliest, IMO). So for me, it is a waste of a pre-order bonus.

Lol dnt know why (making video games arent that easy x.x,well to me)
And i feel like they shouldve just left skins out and they prob couldve made more armor sets
But anyway, i just want the days to hurry up lol and let us all have our halo 4 copies

No hating on other armor! That’s my favorite armor and I can’t wait to wear it! Besides, it would take 343 FOREVER to individually skin every helmet, chest piece, leg plating, etc. Think about what they have to do to make this, it’s no dumb move!

its a paint job, not a whole new mechanic. while it would take some time, it wouldnt be a rediculous amount of time. Hate to say the swear word but CoD does it with all its weapons.
It doesnt really matter to me, just seems silly that its the way it is.

I pre-ordered LE a while back.
-So FUD on the LE of Halo 4 is a code to watch it online and not even a DVD.
-EVERYONE gets early access to all specializations if they just play the game before November 20th
-The skins we get are only for CERTAIN armors
-We don’t even get the two helmets people who buy the map pass sepratly get
What the hell 343i? Whats even the point of getting LE anyone if they are just giving away all of the exclusives? We now get what? A fancy box and a few papers?
Considering this card here says nothing about a specific armor and the flack 343 would receive if it did make them armor specific? I’m guessing the skins can be applied to any armor…

Nope. Look at any of the armoury videos. Each armour perm has only one Skin counter-part (apart from the ones which get pre-order bonus/exclusive skins).
I’m not watching leaks and the only other videos are probably of an unfinished version no thanks. There are valid reasons to believe both sides of this discussion so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

We get a map pass code, so yes, we do get the helmets.

It’s really unfortunate, but it has been confirmed LE users will NOT get Scanner and Strider. cries
I feel it’s neccesary to say:
A. The skins are only for a specific armor
B. The forest skin is for the Recruit Armor, not for HAZOP
Necessary because of what exactly?
Yes, to wear the Web skin, you must wear the CIO chest piece that it belongs to. You don’t have to wear any other piece if CIO but you need to wear the chest piece to use the “Spidey” symbol.
That is why I decided to not go with Amazon. As much as I love Spidey (and Venom more), too restrictive of a gift, though the thought is appreciated.

www.halo4vote.com, looks like Hazop uses the Forest skin to us that look in the bottom right corner.
No LE buyers do not get the Scanner or Strider helmets at this time. Those 2 helms are for the War Games pass bought separately.
