> IMO i dont think this would be a good idea. More colors yes, patterns no.
meh… I think camo patterns and whatnot would be better and less gimmicky than things like armor effects. And I don’t really know if they could add that many more colors. If they were to add more colors they might as well give us a color wheel like in any adobe image programs. So we could literally have every single color. And maybe have the ability to switch between like gloss metalic and matte. That would be pretty neat.
It’s a cool idea, but I think it would take away some aspects of the Halo experience. It’s not suppose to be comical (flowers?)… would Master Chief wear purple?
I like the idea of camo patterns, and maybe even some whimsical patters as suggested in the examples. could add a little more depth of character (though of course I have no idea if it would be harder from a coding aspect.)
I think it could work as part of a texture system that would go on top of your main colour selection. It could include patterns, dirt, damage and things like that.
I’ve always wanted to see what Spartans would look like in more conventional military camos. I like what you did here, it’s a sweet concept. For multiplayer I think it would be great, it would further individualize your Spartan. I like to customize stuff, so I would enjoy having fun patterns to play with

lol yup. Thats sorta what I was getting at. That’s why a gave a few color examples of similar patterns. I do like the idea of wear and tear and dirt and all that fun stuff too. If they did do this I’d imagine their would be a few girly ones like better than the examples I’ve posted and a few comical ones like how AA’s have heart attack and grunt birthday. Maybe grunt pajama armor pattern? haha I just think it would be something neat. I think it would be a lot better than Armor Effects.
You could have say…
Digital Camo and what ever team you end up on in MM you would have that color with the digi camo pattern.
or like you suggested
Dirty armor and it would be whatever color of the certain team you’re on.
Besides patterns I’d really like to see all the basic armor colors also used for visor. I really don’t see how it could be that complicated to incorperate. Maybe have them all at about the same price say like (if they still use cR) 150,000 cR. So when you’re making a choice on visor color you know you’re making a big choice. And maybe the ability to change your HUD color. Maybe not as many choices but still a few maybe even such as classic visors.

I agree. They also need a wider variety of base colours for armor. More shades, tints and tones of each colour. Maybe Hud colour could be paired with visor colour?
Better than camo would be to go all out like some of the nascar games do. They let you skin your own car and create anything. It isn’t like multiplayer would be affected since the majority of gametypes force you to be a specific color.
The idea is creative! but the end result of flower-coated spartans would really hurt my eyes I think… O_o
But I’m definitely for having more colours! Reach was so colorless and blend. It would also be nice to have your emblem more visible on the armor itself! In Reach you can’t even see the emblem at all
Oh. And more visor-colors… :}
No. A better idea is to create your own emblem (as in, pick up different shapes and place them in a square and arrange their colours, not like the weird thing we get, choosing so many limited things in Reach and halo 3) Then being able to put that onto our armor at any size, at any location on the armor.
Customisation makes good games great, and vice versa.
I think perhaps colours for your chest, boots, wrist and so on would be good, down to even tiny sections if they so chose to do so. Then perhaps you could use a two-colour stripe pattern for your wrist, and select white and black if you wanted to.

> Have my emblem on both shoulders = Win.
Like Black ops… Then everyone is running around with terrible emblems and naked chicks and rascist things.
