I wonder if there will be a certain armor effect to 343 employes only like in Halo 3 (red flames) and reach (until everyone got the blue flames). I also like to see more amor effects in Halo 4. 343 should use some of the ideas from gears 3 but instead of the gun camo it’ii just be armor effects. It is a xbox exclusive only anyways so they’re on the same team >> Also i think that 343 should get more involved with halo playlits like gears does for its game. Like back in thanksgiving the boom shots shot out turkeys and on christmas and valentines day there were weapon skins for that holidays. Plus it would really be great if they brought some sort of big jackpot weekend like there used to be on Reach that ran from Fri-Sun.(id like to see this in Halo 4) Also every color of the visor would be smart to put in not just like 5 or 4 colors. Im just saying that they should do certain stuff or events on the holidays. AND NEW ARMOR EFFECTS! What are your peoples thoughts on armor effects? Wouldnt you like to see some gears weapon skin as armor effects? I know i would.
Wasn’t really a fan of the armor effects in reach. Inclement Weather and Pestilence looked limited IMO. What I didn’t mind were the Death Effects. Those were cool and I think they can add more of those.
i liked them but they need to be more…just more i guess. i mean there were like only three “new” ones other than flames but the only one that lasted for a while was the inclement weather since it was pricy and pretty cool but at the same time weared out easily since there wasnt much else better
My idea for a holiday-themed game play would be similar to those in Gears of War 3. While playing Capture the Flag on Hemorrhage during the Christmas holidays, I was struck with the idea (although I don’t know if it’s graphically possible) to have the whole ground covered in snow with snowflakes falling. I think it would ad a more “fresh” atmosphere and possibly leading to it feeling like a brand new map. The thought of snow falling on the map sparked a new idea, what if the grenades thrown could instead look like snowballs? I know it sounds kind of cheesy but I think it would be rather fun to have a snowball fight on Halo.

For example:
Christmas Day - Your Spartans all have Santa Hats
Halloween - Your Spartans all have jack o’lantern heads
Thanks Giving - Those cool hats with the buckles on
Independence Day - The CTF flags turn into US and British Flags (Like the revolution)
Etc etc. I think Valve has made it clear, Hats are great

I agree.
I like the way the OP thinks here. Not only is he not complaining, he is actually suggesting things that I believe the whole community could benefit from. There are so many ideas for holiday things that I could imagine would be possible.
I could see hats or something like that being added on Holidays, or even maps being edited for a day like the Hemorrhage idea. Bungie used to do something SMALL on Valhalla for holidays, but let’s see some TOTAL map makeovers 343i! Be creative for the holidays for the community!
As for armor effects, it would depend on what they are. I liked Pestilence, honestly, but only seeing two so far it’s hard to judge. I would LOVE to see purple, green, red and MANY more colored visors though!

I liked them at first then slowly started to dislike them with a passion.
The people wrapped in clouds, the ones in flames, the ones who would let out a shriek after they died, I cannot bear it any longer. That’s just me though.
If they had an option to turn them off(I can’t see them but everyone else can) I’d be fine with that. Its a win for me, and a win for those who want to use them.
that would be a great i dear would be to scrap the hole armor ability’s it ruined the game and just keep sprint in it.
I don’t mind death effects, as long as they stay visual only. I hated the “Yaaaay” that birthday party gave off, but the hearts were pretty cool.
As for actual armor effects like flames and inclement weather, I’d sooner see them gone. I won’t be mad if they’re in, as I’m not forced to use them, but I’d just sooner see them gone. I really hate to use the word gimmick, but this one almost does seem a little gimmicky.

This isn’t a bad idea either. Holiday armor effects… I like it!
