Hey everyone. I was thinking - Wouldn’t it be a great idea for 343 to release a DLC pack containing more armor for Halo 4? Don’t misinterpret what i’m saying - I’m relatively happy with the current armor, but was dissapointed that some greats such as Mark V and CQB weren’t included. I also think some of the armor looks too much like other games such as Crysis and I think Halo 4 is missing some of the classic armor that everyone knew and loved.
I was just wondering - How many of you think that 343 should release a DLC pack containing more armor for Halo 4? I would.
If I’m not wrong, they already said they would make a future DLC with all the preorder bonuses for everyone. But as they seem to just cheat people, I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t do.
Anyway even if would be awesome to see future new armors, I know they won’t do that. If we are really lucky, they will just make some other special skin for the existing ones.

This was done in gears 3 for the pre order characters but they were just coloured in red and blue depending if the character was cog or locust but for halo I don’t think it will work and it will just annoy people I want my deadeye helmet to stay how it is exclusive…

as much as i want deadeye, i do agree that it should stay exclusive as well!

Please do realize that even if the devs say it, that does mean they honestly want to implement it, but different factors can effect on whether it will pull through or not. Even they have their hopes for the game.
Why is everyone biting at 343 lately anyways? I can understand Customs rants, because I am disappointed by the large lack of game-types to use from, but surely they can be addressed.
I was disapointed with weapon skins. I thought weapon/class customisations were meant to be a big thing for Halo 4 but it seems to lack weapon skins and past level 25 i have literally nothing to spend my SP point on.
They need to release DLC packs containing weapon skins, Armour and Emblems.
Also bring back Hayabusa armour and the Katana. That armour was well worth getting 1,000 gamerscore for.
Hayabusa will never return. Bungie made a deal with Team Ninja when they wanted to add Master Chief to the DOA 4 roster. Bungie said that such an appearence would be non-canon, so they gave Team Ninja Nicole-458, and in return, Halo 3 got the Hayabusa armor and Katana, named after the DOA character Ryu Hayabusa. In order to get Hayabusa back, they would need to do this entire legal thing with Team Ninja, so 343i did the next best thing…

To be honest I’m all for micro transaction armours and skins, as long as it doesn’t give someone an advantage then why not?
I’d be -Yoinked!- off though if Halo 5 had it and the classic Mark 6 armour set was DLC, I kind of feel that it should be a running theme finishing the campaign on legendary gives you Mark VI.
But it won’t happen in Halo 4, too small community now, most hardcore Halo fans have either left or gritting there teeth each time 343i posts a new update.

Guys this whole Armour DLC Thing was discussed so often…
They can’t add armour!! Just realize it…
Reason for this: All armours and weapons (and skins) are coded into the maps in every Halo Games so 343 can’t add armour without punishing People to redownload all maps (MP and SO) maybe they change the Code structure in Halo 5 but in H4 we won’t See New armour

The person you quoted posted that on November 29th. This topic was recently necroposted. They may not see your question and reply to it.
The question isn’t “Should 343i release new Armor as DLC” but rather “CAN 343i add new armor to Halo 4 post launch”.
Halo isn’t like other games like Mass Effect, MineCraft, Gears of War, and so on, Halo’s Engine stores it’s data in .map files, these .map files aren’t easily updated, mostly because they’re large files, and mostly locked on the Halo 4 Disc(s). In order to add new armor to Halo 4, 343i would most likely have to update every single released .map file, just to add one armor set.
Now as far as should they do it, I say no, mostly because the community isn’t happy with Halo 4, and a lot more of the community would be mad if 343i released DLC for armor, with no bug/glitch fixes, and farther “Ignored” the requests to fix the major problems people have.
Why are people so intent on making sure they keep sole ownership of pre-order bonuses? They aren’t entitled to a piece of digital armor just because they happened to order the game a few months earlier than others. Also, 343i should also be able to put in the DLC for a price considering its already part of a game.
