Halo 4 Armor Abilities Good or Bad?

How would the community feel if Halo 4 were to have some concept of armor abilities? Or should 343 stick with equipment?

Can I go with neither?

Armor abilities in Halo 4?

SCREW that. Equipment or no armor abilities at all. Equipment was good because it was one-time use, and people actually had to go to pick them up.

Armor abilites should only be there… Weapons to pick up, or be droped off in pods… Armor lock should be movable in Halo: 4. Have a counter, or kill streaks!

I could go either way. I’ll love Halo 4 as long as the story is epic.

Armor lock should be thrown into a bottomless pit along with the idea of fall damage, low jump height and slow shield regen.

I wouldn’t mind equipment, as mentioned before, hey had to be picked up first.

Also, I wouldn’t say no to the Sprint ability, returning into the game.

I’m already aware of the Zero-G graity boosters…hmm.

i wouldnt mind if armor abilities returned.

only if they had to be picked up in the map, instead of starting with them.

like equipment, one time use, then you have to find a new one.

I wouldnt mind sprint returning, though. your AA button in reach is permanently sprint, until you pick up an equipment/aa, then your sprint button becomes a single use AA before reverting back to sprint.

Armor Abilities are the worst thing to be in a halo game ever.

You want a special ability like camo or overshield? well go get it, ON THE MAP. If you aren’t skilled enough to beat your opponent to camo you don’t deserve it. None of this “everyone gets to be a powerup 24/7 with armor abilities” crap.

Equipment is best, maybe updated it a bit somehow. Equipment for the WIN!!! At least that’s my opinion.

If armor abilities came back, there’s three armor abilities that should be tweaked.

  • Active Camo: Should no longer radar jam.
  • Armor lock: Make it last shorter than before.
  • Hologram: Make it so using the ability again while a Hologram will detonate that hologram, dealing damage.

With those two changes, those two armor abilities should be balanced now

Bad, not only would it break cannon, but Halo 3s equipment was more balanced then reachs AAs, and map control actualy existed in Halo 3, unlike reach.

  • Armour Lock: No…Just no.

  • Hologram: abused to try and trick people DURING fire-fights…No.

Sprint and Drop-Shield are the only 2 candidates that should return in a different way. Sprint was mostly harmless and allowed bursts of speed to reach your destination. And Drop-shield (being a modified Bubble Shield), was good because it allowed a temporary shield that wasn’t invulnerable, plus it had the added healing abilities.

Well to be frank, why not have equipment in the games, but the principle would change when you find your said equipment it can be used for the rest of the game by the one person, and when you interchange the equipment, it follows the rules that weapons do in Halo Reach, and would respawn later in the match. Of course this is just an idea and the promblem would be if the equipment is to dominant such as invicibility or a shield recharger,its likely it would be used at every encounter with a enemy. These select equipments might have to be just used once.
1) Armor lock should be removed completely in Halo 4

2) If we go back to halo 3, invicibility should be tweaked, such as it should
drain quicker as more damage is dealt.

3) Finally, camo should affect other players radar, but not the one who is
currently using it, and it should drain slightly faster than the new
reach adjustments to the camo.

I liked both AA’s and Equipment.

Thing’s to fix for AA’s:

-Active Camo shouldn’t have a radar jammer.
-Armor Lock has been fixed in the TU
-Drop Shield is fine, unless you wanna get rid of the healing bit
-Evade is fine
-Hologram, cool idea, not sure if I wanna see it in Halo 4
-Jetpack was fun as blam!
-Sprint is fine

All of the Equipment seem fine as they are to me. shrugs

Though I would like that original Halo feeling, with only Overshields and Active Camo pick ups.

No, no and no. It was a bad move for Reach… Don’t smear the stain just go put on that comfy old loose fit T that is HALO.
