This is the weakest Halo Limited Edition Halo’s ever had IMO(not counting Halo 2, but it was a different time then.),at least with the information we have now the only saving grace could be the Infinity Briefing Packet, but I have a feeling it’s not going to be any ware near as robust to the fiction as Halsey’s journal.
Halo: 3 had John’s Helmet
Halo: ODST had the controller (Which was -Yoinking!- sick)
Halo: Reach had the journal and the Nobel Team statue.
Now these aren’t necessarily deal breakers, I don’t need a statue to collect dust, and I’m sure they will role out with a limited edition controller like they do everything. The fact is this collectors edition is, in all honestly insultingly uncreative. Essentially it’s the Call of Duty: MW3 Hardened Edition, don’t agree? Lets take a look.

343i had the chance to do something creative with it, and kind of blew it, they took the easy way out. And in a way they’re kind of punishing the people who would by something like this.
Halo War Games will have a Season Pass, that Pass will be between $30-$40. All Limited edition owners are doing is getting a Season Pass and a hand full of junk, stuff that really cost them nothing to make. The wild card being the Infinity Booklet, and how robust it is fictionally. These passes are an attempt at having adopters of the game keep the game, and I understand that, however if I’m buying the Limited Edition do you honestly think I’m going to sell the game a few months down the road? No of concourse not.
And I have a problem with these Specialization Points. We don’t know what they are, but it can be assumed that they are used in someway to unlock items in game, be that armor, weapons, weapon skins, armor ability’s, and perks, or even to simply rank up a few levels. (from the sounds of the post) This is fundamentally wrong, I have no problem with armor, armor effects, skins emblems. However giving someone a day one advantage, no matter how small that advantage might be, simply because they bought a collectors edition, that’s just wrong, and further proves 343 might not care as much about balanced gameplay as they say, and that they are making it unbalanced to push away the core and attract the casual CoD crowd, who will leave the game a weak or so latter, when the next CoD comes out, leaving us the core with a game like Reach or worse.
Rant end.
As to your question, probably so I’ve bought every other one Halo 2-Reach, Halo Wars included, I’ve got a collection why mess that up?
