Will halo 4 match making turn intoi another spawn campers dream or this time around will someone get it right. The other thing is has there been any advancements in tech that can detect people stuffing around for host, ill play halo 4 for the story but from what i have seen in halo reach match making is going down the drain
As long as it isn’t like CoD (and probably reach) i’m fine with it.
Spawn trapping (which is not spawn killing) is a legitimate and solid tool of every Halo, of course it will return.
…or did you mean people camping at their own spawns? If that’s the case, you have never played Halo in the right playlists or something.

You forgot objective holding is completely legitimate as well.
No ranked so it’s encouraged yet again.
Joy!
Promethean vision goes SWOOSH! There you go campers on ya visor!
Yes, it will most likely be in Halo 4, so unless you have a team of six, you better hope you are lucky. However there is a difference between knowing the spawn points, and just simply camping you. If you have a problem though you could avoid these certain players under game behavior for unsporting conduct (I think). Under unsporting conduct, it says players did not follow the rules/spirit of the game, and I don’t really consider camping people for kills, and holding the objective/not capturing objective for as long as possible, the spirit of the game. Usually I don’t avoid players, but that’s your choice.
The System wants you to do it…
So it will continue and only get better…
It should be, the point of playing slayer is to spawn trap the enemies. You gain map control and make sure the enemies will only spawn in their base, so they can’t get the power weapons. The problem with that though, is that you can do it in Objective gametypes as well (Only Zealot really has bad CTF spawns, only in basement). But at least it’s better than random spawns… The random spawn at Asylum at your pillars and rock garden is just plain stupid… They should not spawn behind you if you have total map(/ring) control. It’s not the fault of the game, but the player. The better player will make it happen and win, while the lesser player loses as he should.
How can they not get power weapons? I thought you get them in ordinance drops?
> How can they not get power weapons? I thought you get them in ordinance drops?
In past Halo’s, if you have map control you also control the power weapon spawns. And this is still the case (I hope) in Halo 4. And about the Personal Ordnance, you need to get points/kills to get them. So if you’re losing and not getting any kills, you won’t get any power weapons.
Yes but the ordinance meter doesn’t reset when you die does it? With that, you can expect to pick up a few kills before you die. Anyway, sounds quite balanced when you think about it.
You spawn a distance away from enemies and grenades as possible, so…

Spawn trapping leads to spawn killing and most of the time ruins the experience for people without a party.
