Halo 4 Announcer and AA Recharging

Does the Announcer sound like Mr. Steizer to you? I can’t tell honestly. It does, but it seems as though they added an effect to his voice. Also, I notice the AA’s only recharging after a kill has been made, which is interesting.

And I keep seeing people moaning about some “killstreak” in this game. Are those the ordinance drops?

It’s Steitzer.

They’ve just changed how we perceive his voice a bit, it seems.

Still sounds great, though.

  1. Jeff Steizer has been confirmed (via his Facebook) to return as the multiplayer announcer. But I agree, his voice does sound a little different. It make me some audio or emphasis changes.

  2. AA recharging is unknown at this time, but that’s an interesting theory. I believe it’s like Reach, where they charge automatically over a period of time.

  3. The more kills and assists you get, the more it fills up the meter in the bottom-left of the HUD. Once the meter is full, you can call for an ordinance drop.

  1. This is only in Infinity Slayer

Actually from 1:09 to 1:10, if you pay attention, his meter doesn’t fill up until he kills the guy in the Ghost.

You shouldn’t be too worried.

In Halo CE, listen to the Triple Kill sound. That is what it reminded me of.

I just like that he announces Assassinations now…

Jeff Steizer + ASSASSINATION!!! = Epic.

Also, I’ve shared this theory about kills to recharge AAs since I saw the video.

Personally, it seems like this is coincidence, however I could be wrong. Certain AA’s could be kill-only to recharge (i.e. Promethean Vision), however some could recharge over time (i.e. Thruster Pack). It could also be game-specific or a custom option.

Personally, I like the way Steitzer sounds in this game. He definitely sounds more enthusiastic in this game.

I was thinking the same thing! The way he says “Overkill!” is pretty much how my reaction is when I get an Overkill :stuck_out_tongue:
