halo 4 and the xbox 3

hey guys, sorry about topic and im not even joking but it MADE me post it in caps. but how is this going to work? http://www.gamespot.com/news/next-xbox-in-2012-ps4-dev-ramping-up-report-6346197?tag=newstop%3Btitle%3B19

must be bogus

Anyone who thinks that Microsoft would allow one of it’s biggest moneymakers to be overshadowed by a new Xbox is an idiot.

Unless Halo 4 is going to be on BOTH the next gen Xbox and the 360, there is no chance of the next gen Xbox being released before the year 2013.

well ya thats what i was trying to say. either that 360 WONT come out in 2012 or halo 4 would be on the new xbox

In fact, it goes the other way around. What would be a better launch title for their new Xbox than the next installation of one of their biggest franchises. Many people will be ready to buy the new console just for Halo 4, they would buy it eventually anyway.

I’d personally be very happy if we got a new console in 2012 and Halo 4 as a launch title. I personally see no better reason to buy a new Xbox than a new Halo game. Launching a console without a proper launch title doesn’t make sense.

Which would be a great idea IF Halo 4 wasn’t already destined for xbox 360. I mean go pre-order it, it’s already a 360 title.

From the words of Frank O’Connor himself, Halo 4 is being developed solely for the Xbox 360. Also, OXM has reported that Microsoft is planning to announce their next generation console at E3 2013. Trust me, the next Xbox won’t come in 2012, nor be announced, and Halo 4 will be on the 360.

Unlike Enfit’s post, that wouldn’t have proved anything. Of course they would advertise the game with a 360 logo if they wanted to hold the announcement of their next console. Retailers must have something where they categorize the game and as there is no confirmed console, Xbox 360 is of course the natural choice. Even the 360 logo in the end of the teaser didn’t justify anything, of course Microsoft wouldn’t have wanted to put the logo of an unannounced console on the end of the trailer.

But targuing about that is pointless now as we have a cnofirmation from Frank. I personally think that Halo 4 would have been better suited for a next generation console.
