Does anybody else think it would be cool if there were a lot of refrences to this theory throughout Halo 4. For example, if there is a physical Forerunner presence,
The theory is that alines came down to Earth thousands of years ago when human were simply cavemen, and they muddled with our genetics and created modern humans as either a slave labour of some other forum of experiment.
The biggest piece of evidence is the ‘Starchild’ skull. Here’s the image.
I just thought it would be cool to see some references to that, like the Forerunners tie into our real life mysteries in this modern day.
I suppose you weren’t involved in the Halo 3 ARG? Also, the theory is a bit broader than that. It mostly revolves around tales and images of ancient gods, and how those could very well be extra-terrestrials. A favourite of mine is the following found tablet.
While maybe not making us slave labor and such, cryptum and primordium tell us that the forerunners did indeed muddle with humans and their destiny. Perhaps more of that will come to light in H4. Maybe MCs “luck” isn’t what we think it is.

Lol, the theory goes alot further than that, and there’s more to suggest against the ‘slave labour’ part than for it. Think of it more as uplifting and guiding rather than slavery.
Also, there are many other pieces and places bigger than this skull, do some research you’ll probably enjoy it =]
OT: This theory, really, is a mainstay in the Halo universe, both in the games AND the Forerunner saga books more than the others. If you haven’t read them I highly recommend them OP =]
This thoery’s integration into the series is already well seated and isn’t going anywhere. I daresay it’s highly likely that we’ll see something along the way. If not in H4, then in 5/6.

Haha, I’m guessing you’ve seen the series then? =P
Yes and no. Human for an alliance prior to 110,000 BCE with the San 'Shyuum againts the Flood and later againts the Forerunners. They lost the war againts the Forerunner and were devolve as a punishment. San 'Shyuum population was quarantine and also massacre during an uprising by the Halo effect.

There was a species of hobbits in an island in Polynesia. Or was it Indonesia…?
Well back in '04 an island was explored and they found a mass grave with 30-ish year old humans that peaked at around 4’9 feet tall.
I’d find you the link… But you don’t really care, do you?

I haven’t read any of the Forerunner saga of books yet, so forgive me if I’m wrong, but if any aliens meddled with human genetics, wouldn’t it more likely be the Precursors? Any way, the Ancient Astronaut theory seems to fit perfectly into the Halo storyline (so far). It would be cool if the Ancient Astronaut theory was at least hinted at being correct. Considering how much alike humans are with all of the other alien species in the Halo universe, it would make sense that the Precursors (or whoever) tampered with all of their genetics and made them so much alike.
I heard on some documentary that the odds against beings from another planet looking even remotely like us is astronomical. Always kind of bothered me unless I assumed the Ancient Astronaut theory was true in the Halo universe.
