I dont know if any of you remember it , some of you may be reading this thinking what on earth does Coke have to do with Halo 4 and what is ‘New Coke’.
But I’ll explain.
Back in 1985 The Brand Coca Cola changed the formula of the famous ‘coke’ and created a new coke called back at the time ‘New Coke’ . The Idea of it was to replace the recipe in order to attract more customers as pepsi was outselling coke back in the early 80’s.
Coca Cole launched this new ‘New Coke’ as a wild marketing scheme to replace the original coke formula and taste .
However it didn’t go down well . it was a failure for both fans of the original coke and was a marketing failure.
Some coke drinkers even said they would stop drinking coke all together and demanded the original coke back while of course there were people that did like it. In any case sales of coke massively declined
Coca Cola then released the original coke again calling it classic coke. This classic coke spiked hugely in sales and resulted in loads of customers buying it .Some people believe this was done as a marking technique to beat pepsi.
Now Where Do i Believe this relates to Halo 4
Halo 4 has been a failure for many fans, Why Not being a marketing failure like ‘New Coke’ . There are fans that do like the game and it’s everyone’s own opinion . But it’s very similar to New Coke . The roots of the game just like the recipe of a drink were severely changed. Why looking like Halo and Coke looking like coke with the logo and can both on the instead were very different to their classic versions . Many fans have left Halo 4 in terms of online population like sales in Coke massively declined . Again many fans of Halo have asked for the classic Halo that plays like Halo ce-3 back while many coke fans asked for the original coke back .
The core recipe of coke changed to attract new customers and try to win over pepsi drinkers like the core of Halo changed trying to win over CoD and Battlefield players .
So Do you believe if Halo 5 brought back classic Halo and became more like Halo 2 and 3 it would sell more and more fans would like it ? As Original Coke overtook Pepsi do you believe if Halo 5 was Classic Halo it would overtake Halo 4’s online population and maintain it longer

The New Coke move was not a marketing technique. That’s just a conspiracy theory. It was just a poor decision by the top management to change ingredients because apparently some of the ingredients in the Old Coke required too much corn syrup and was too expensive to make.
If anything, Coca-Cola may have brought out New Coke in order for them to change the Old Coke formula, but just subtly, then they marketed it as Classic Coke, when in reality they stripped out a few things. Now that’s a theory.
In relation to Halo, it could be applied. Halo 3 was generally accept as a good game from the community and fans, so they gave us Halo 4, know it was a terrible game, THEN they REVERT BACK and Halo 5 will be more Halo 3 orientated, but with slight modifications.

No, no… just no. The reason we aren’t having fun is the game. We come here because it isn’t fun, that’s the problem. And don’t say I haven’t “learned it.” I hit SR130, played it quite a bit and know the weapons and maps and all - the more I learn, the less I like it. You learn that the maps are garbage and the weapons are unbalanced and the vehicles are tissue-paper. I think you need to learn the game and realize only a very simple person could have fun playing it.

Oh I understand the game all right. I understand perfectly how you don’t need to aim with the DMR, and that Boltshot has too much range, and that vehicles are deathtraps. And see, I did learn it, and I did play it.
But you know what I don’t understand? Why these things are like this. There is no purpose of such an unbalanced game. Least laggy multiplayer by far, certainly the best of the series in that respect. But otherwise, it’s second to Reach for worst gameplay.
All I know is that I really want them to bring equipment back in place of armor abilities. Equipment was so much more functionally balanced and arena-esque. Plus it would be great to see what they would come up with as far as new items. It is still 343, though, so I’m sure they’d have one that makes you invincible for the rest of the game when deployed.
