Halo 4 and Grenade Physics[the way you throw]

I love the way you can throw grenades in Halo but in ODST n REACH throwing grenades became unpredictable and it differs every time you throw it.

In ODST its very acceptable because [for fictional reasons] an ODST . In REACH however you’re a S-III witch means you can throw it with pin-point accuracy sadly that didn’t happen in the game .

In Halo 4 you will be playing as a S-IV witch is also more powerful than a S-III hopefully you actually can throw it just like in the past trilogy.

Long story short [Halo 1,2,3 grenade throw in Halo 4 your thoughts]

vote , your thoughts .

thank you

I have never experienced what you are talking about in Halo Reach.

Everything about Halo 3s grenades were better then Reachs imo.
Physics, distance, radius, damage,etc…
Also grenade jumping was basically ruined in Reach because of the nuke radius.

Why do you have Halo 1-3 as one option and Reach as the other? The grenade physics were pretty different in every game as far as I remember. The physics in Halo 2 and Halo 3 was those who was closest to each other, but they still had some differences. I even think that Halo Reach is closer to Halo 2 and 3 compared to Halo 1.

Just my 5 cent. Please enlight me a little bit more in detail if I have missed the point.

They kinda throw straight in Halo 4, like a football. At least from what I saw, but I liked the Reach grenade physics best personally.

compare H3 to REACH and you will see what im talking about

I dunno in CE ,2 ,3 I could stick anyone anywhere it was very close in terms of physics

In reach however I seem to question myself as if there was something wrong with the grenades they felt clunky and didn’t cut through the air just like it did in H,1,2,3 thats my point everyone of my friends complaind about it

Halo 1 and Halo 3 had totally different throwing styles.
In Halo 1, grenades flew like baseballs.

I’m hoping for a style similar to Halo 3.
I could stick people from across the map in Halo 3.
But in Halo Reach, the grenades just don’t go far or fast enough.

I also hope for frag grenades to bounce off walls better.
More directed corner tosses.

Halo 2’s grenade throwing was much lower than 1 and 3; why did you put it in the same option?

I’d prefer H2/H3 style. Reach’s grenades were made of clay and didn’t bounce at ALL. Too much radius and too little arc.

H3 had grenades essentially perfect.

> Halo 2’s grenade throwing was much lower than 1 and 3; why did you put it in the same option?

I put them together because they were very similar compared to reach trust I did my research

I don’t understand why people prefer the Halo 3 style.

The grenade throwing in Halo 3 was slow and awkward, it was like the spartan didn’t even try, it was just little girl voice “ehh!”

In Reach, grenade throwing was fast and accurate. I loved it.

Sarcasm?

H1 had the best grenade throw. Decent fov (but not as annoying as Reach’s), good range, fast throwing.

H2 had the best grenade combo: double grenade.

H3 had the best Co-op/mp/Forge Elite exclusive grenade throw: if you’re playing as an Elite, it’s possible to throw like the campaign Elites. You can mix that with a grav hammer for instant grenade detonation and can use it to get some fun sticks.

For overall physics, H1 and H2. I hated how throwing a grenade into a grenade pile in H3 caused the grenades to scatter and then detonate. The only way to get a grenade chain reaction in H3 is to melee the grenade but that’ll just get you killed.

I liked H1 and H2’s grenade chain reactions. I also loved how CE’s grenades could be used for moving power weapons. CE and H2’s grenades are obviously more controllable.

I switched from playing Halo Reach to Halo 3, and I have to say I like Reach’s grenades better. I think they seemed more real. In Reach you could throw them off a wall and they’d bounce, in Halo 3, they hit the wall and didn’t bounces as good, they were sort of like as if they were a flat ball and Reach was a filled ball.

I kinda like Reach’s grenade physics over H3’s, but from a viewpoint of “Spartans are stronger and faster than regular humans”, H3’s grenade physics make much more sense.

i see what you mean, ever since i got live, i’ve been playing reach. i wanted an achievement on H3 so i went there and grenade physics were so much different, took some time to get used to again (and a few more deaths).

I was thinking about this topic when I saw a player throw a grenade in -REDACTED-. But i don’t really worry about it.

yeah, the reach grenades were weird. they were the most powerful grenades out of all the games, but the grenade jumping was feeble compared to the weaker halo 3 grenades. is this because the S3 suits caused the gravity to increase tenfold? it certainly felt like it.
