If you look back at Halo 3 you notice that you unlocked armor by getting certain achievements, or a certain number of achievements. However, in Halo Reach they introduced the Credit system where all armor was unlocked through credits. Although in Reach you could unlock some armor through Halo Waypoint by getting a lot of achievements, most of the armor was obtained through the use of credits.
In Halo 4 I think that armor, or maybe something else that is cool, should be obtainable by completing achievements. The achievements don’t necessarily need to unlock armor, but they could unlock something else in the game (other than “Avatar Awards”)
I know that in Halo 3 I strove to unlock every achievement. And some of the achievements were very hard like the Vidmasters where you had to complete Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts. Those achievements were fun and rewarding when you finally accomplished them. In Halo Reach there was no prize for unlocking the achievements so I had no motivation to unlock any of them.
What do you guys think? What should we get for unlocking achievements? Armor? Avatar Awards? Possibly Loadouts?
I think, since they’ve already announced an ingame currency, we will purchase armor like in Reach. I think this is preferable personally.
Maybe we can get both, perhaps armor that can be unlocked through purchasing with the in-game currency. Or some armor unlocks through achievments.
I think that it should be like reach where we get to a certain rank and certain “spartan points”, but have earning an achievement as a prerequisite as well. just to make getting armor even more difficult to obtain. a mix of halo 3 and reach.
The BS angel challenges! You have to use forge to make cats! All joking aside, I would like to see it come back, I’m tired of seeing someone who just sits there with some of the best armor.
I don’t see why we can’t have a mixture of both.
I hope they will add a similar mechanic that was used in Halo Reach to unlock exclusive armor from Halo Waypoint

So you want the Halo 3 Recon debacle all over again? I don’t think that would be a good idea.
