Halo 4: 1 Hit Kill Enemy Snipers

-Only on Mythic, or Legendary+All Skulls ON.

-People may have hated Halo 2’s infamous Jackal Snipers, but I loved them. It made Halo 2 that much harder and more awesome in my opinion, and it really gave a sense of panic, dread, “back to the wall, fighting to set themselves free” scenario Joseph Staten described Halo as long ago.

-Basically, Mythic is supposed to be for people like me, who won’t throw their controller at a wall after many, many deaths. I believe there is also a Promethean Sniper Enemy.

-Therefore, I hope there is a skull that increases enemy damage in Mythic so that this can occur.

-I always found it to be a ton of fun.

I might just have to buy a full crate of spare controllers…

Disadvantage of the wireless controllers…

I’ve come to realize its not my controller’s fault. Gonna have to try mythic, maybe w/o blind on though. Thats just asking too much IMO. Heroic was always fun with gold skulls on though. Was challenging but not to the point you would get mad about it.

I’d like insta-kill snipers on Legendary. They made Halo 2 so hideously beautiful. :3

I agree completely.

Sure, with nerfing.

They didn’t cause me frustration (key is positioning + closing the distance) but they are obviously broken enemies. If they were in Reach, I would have smashed my Xbox 360 because like every other enemy in Reach, they’d be even more OP.

But H3 nerfed them too much as well as ODST.

Either make them less attentive or make them easier to spot. Not both.

Keep their damage output.

Nerf their aim to make them a bit more realistic.

They were one hit kill on legendary in halo 3 as well

I’ll get some new controllers with the game as well… y’know, just in case I happen to ‘accidentally’ smash one on the desk in frustration.

After much thought, I think I’d rather have them than multiple focus rifles shooting me.

I liked Halo 3’s snipers, they were 1 shot kills on legendary, but they were predictable

It is probably a one kill sniper but probably doesn’t have very good aiming.

One-hit-kill enemy snipers, I’m fine with, as long as their aim is realistic. I distinctly remember Halo 2’s Jackal snipers shooting me when I’m behind them.

Not insta-kill, I hate instakill. Maybe 1 hit kill if they headshot you, but the body? No. They COULD however, make the snipers a lot better at shooting you in the head.

P.S. I’m one of those controller thrower people. :3

h2 snipers were a joke to me. Sure on your first run through its scary but if your a campaign vet you know exactly where they are and arn’t a problem.

I love to run speed runs but OHK snipers are just annoying I’d rather not have to force a de spawn so i don’t have to deal with being shot in the foot and dying. If they must bring OHK snipers back make them visible and they have to headshot for a OHK.

I don’t want places with “Oh sniper! Run run run run run or die!”

I want places where you are forced into a position where you need to use your brain to win, perhaps going cover to cover or something.

I’d like this. H3’s Jackal snipers were laughable, wile H2’s were actually quite daunting.

1SK would be fine on Legendary as long as they were easy to spot or missed like 30% of the time.
I’d also like to see a change in AI for the snipers, where they relocate after every shot.
