Same old topic i don’t care 343 need to listen.
Even Black Ops 2 has a ranking system.
Population will deflate just as Reaches did.
The game needs it i have played the game. Its good but the core aspect of halo 2 and halo 3 was the ranking systems, its what made it so popular for so long it had a consistent feel to the game where it made it matter to win.
where as reach when i played it felt so boring it felt like i was wasting my time playing i had no reason to try. It had no incentive to win.
No matter how many times i get negative comments about how many times this has been posted i will continue to post the same topic until i am listened to.
Well 343 is still working on the Ranking system so don’t expect much info until it’s released. Also how do we know there isn’t something better then 1-50 if 343 don’t try?
Oh and Reach bombed for many more reasons then it’s ranking system.
For all we know, 343 could be cooking up something for the competitive players it’s just that maybe they’re not quite finished with the system. Could be the reason why they haven’t said anything about the topics on recent threads, otherwise if there is and like I’m saying if it is completed (a new/alternative rank system) they would post it or just let people find out as a surprise.

That would be the most stupid marketing idea of all time
keep the ranking system a secret so all the people like me wont pre order the game.

They’ll release the info when they’re ready. As of now, considering the fact that they are still working on it, that might even be after the game. Take some data from post-lainch to finalize the system and release it. Games do it a lot.

okay but at least tell us that there will be one instead of the only info on it was a Frankie post on neogaf saying there will be no 1-50 ranking system

Correct…its been confirmed its not coming back…yet here we are, again.

Frankie recently said that those competitive crowds (the ones really caring for a ranking system), while smaller, is still important. They are currently working on a ranking system.
And the developers have said that you’ll be matched by skill, so that indicates som ekind of skill tracking system is in effect. We just don’t know how visible it is. Last thing we knew, 343i was testing a compromised visible system, wher eyou can see your rank but it isn’t displayed in public lobbies to lower the incentive to cheat and boost.
