So they’re adding a feature to halo waypoint next year that lets you see your halo 4 matchmaking rank.
Halo. Waypoint.
yeah that’s right, the waypoint team is doing what the halo 4 team can’t. The only problem is, it’s done through Waypoint.
So if you want to see your matchmaking rank, get this. You win a match in Halo 4. You have to exit the game and start up another game entirely (Halo Waypoint), you have to load waypoint, then wait for Waypoint to read your statistics, which, if you’ve ever USED Halo Waypoint, takes forever. After it’s done loading, you have to scroll to halo 4, the playlist you want, and THEN you can see your 1-50 rank in Halo 4.
Then, you have to exit waypoint and go back to halo 4. If you want to view your 1-50 rank while you’re in a party in halo 4? You can forget about it. you have to quit halo 4 and quit whatever matchmaking party you were in just to see your -yoink!-ing rank.
And if you want to see the ranks of your clan members you recruit? You can forget about it! The process is not going to be easy and monitoring it will be a pain.
Oh, and the best part? You’re gonna have to do it again and again and again. If you want a 50? Good luck having to quit halo 4 every 5 games just to see how your rank is doing. The process is too out of the way, too lengthy, and too bothersome and cubersome to even be useful. And the fact others won’t be able to easily see your rank is another downer.
Person 1: Aw yeah I just got a 50 in Halo 4!
Person 2: Where’s your proof?
Person 1: uhhhhhhhhhhh
OH, and heres the KICKER: You will FORGET This feature even exists!
That’s right!
If this waypoint feature EVEN LAUNCHES (they could cancel it before release), nobody is going to use it. People may for like 1 month, but after a while people will forget it exists because its so bothersome and annoying to use. Then microsoft will remove it and say “People werent using the feature so we removed it”. PEOPLE WOULD USE IT IF WE COULD VIEW OUR RANK IN HALO 4.
So yeah, the system needs work. A LOT OF IT
