Look at the hologram
This is the Halo 3 Guardian isn’t it? What role will this have in the game? Have they just changed the guardians art-style or is this going to be something else completely?
Any thoughts?

I doubt they’ll completely change the guardians like that. Could be something to do with the auditorium mentioned in the demo.

I was under the impression that the campaign was past the age of placeholders, but I obviously don’t know that for sure (or do I? 
). Could be like a scene created specifically for the screenshot too I guess.
Yeah any kind of any use of this model in the final game would be epic I think.

It’s all really just speculation. Could be something significant, so they could have it in to maybe not spoil something. I don’t know, I just see the big work in progress text at the bottom. Better to be reserved than let your imagination run wild.

Truthfully, while communicated badly, I don’t think the whole “Cortana utilized nanotechnology within Chief’s armor” thing is all that bad. We know it was based on a Mark IV variant and it could’ve been a project she worked on to stave off rampancy. You know, stay busy and keep her mind engaged on something.
Probably wouldn’t work well with the Guardians. I guess they could ignore their own lore, but that tidbit in Warfleet always seemed like a dig at the people who found the Guardians stupid looking with their big skull faces. “Oh, you think they look weird, well we will make it so they HAVE to be this way!”

You’re right, but honestly, I’d take a cohesive art style over adhering to something because of lore that isn’t in the games outright. I know some may mind it, but at this point I’m not sure I care enough lol.

I agree, we’re here to speculate. 
I saw that too. I was wondering how the guardians would look moving forward with the new art style and maybe this is a glimpse. I hope it is because I personally did not like how they looked in H5. WAY too much going on, they looked so messy.

You love too see it. I really did think that people would take the second too start appreciating 343’s work but there is always someone who holds on to the “bUnGiE gOoD 343 bAd” mentality. There is a difference between enjoying a game for what is is and disliking a game for what it isn’t. Ol Floyd here seems to hate it because it’s not a big boy bungie game, but DC, OP, Tyrone and I seem to have the right idea. Please, correct me if i’m wrong, don’t hold back on saying anything.
The Guardian looks great, I speculate it’ll be a new Sentinel.
And I’m only paid with things to keep me hyped for Infinite.

I’m sure you’re great at parties. I’ve been browsing forums for 5 minutes and have seen you on each post attacking anyone even remotely excited or impressed by what they see. No one likes a gatekeeper and no one is going to have any respect for your concerns or critiques with a trash attitude like that. A great response would be constructive criticism and not calling someone a bot. People like Halo and it’s as simple as that.

In the first gameplay reveal, Escharum said something about how the ring was their and soon the autditorium would be too. (He also mentioned that the Banished are working together with the “harbinger” in Atriox’s name.)

nobody wants to be hated on, and your just somebody who just hate people who say your opinion is wrong. You can’t take any outside info other than the one in your small brain. Now stop making non constructive posts or stop posting all together.
And another thing, people like you make the community a worse place.
I’m of the opinion that the H3 Guardian is in fact a Guardian. But of a different class or purpose.
Why would there be a giant Sentinal hologram? Of course… There could be and I’m wrong…
But with how widely disliked the Cortana/Guardians narrative thread was in H5, they could be trying to turn their failure into a success, and redeem the bad Guardian narrative with a good one to close up that narrative to then focus it on the Banished.
Essentially a Guardian built to neutralise other Guardians if in the wrong hands.
The Forerunners in the lore always have countermeasures to countermeasures to countermeasures…
Anywho, I could be wrong, you could be right, it could be a Forerunner pleasure device that one of them was like, “I just had such a good time with this that I need a gigantic hologram of it.”
Who knows!
