Today, on Monday, September 25, 2017, Halo 3 will have been released for 10 years. For many this was their entry to the series, and many others their favorite along the line. So, I propose a toast. Find yourself some Mountain Dew Game Fuel (which was released alongside Halo 3), or any kind of Mountain Dew, and join me in giving remembrance to this amazing game.
(When the day comes I encourage everyone to upload their toasts to Youtube and share them here, so we can all share our experiences)
(Also, I encourage everyone to change their Waypoint banners and profile pictures to something from Halo 3, mine is the scarab from the mission The Storm. The Storm was the first mission I ever played, and seeing and fighting the scarab was one of the most memorable moments in my gaming life).
Damn, just thinking about how much time has passed since Halo 3 was released. Time flew by so fast. I remember playing at parties with my friends and family with system links and all that. We would bring our TVs and Xboxes to put them together and just play with each other and drink moutain dew and eat doritos lol. It’s so nostalgic to play this game again.

Right? Feels like its been forever.
*bonus note: The 360 controller feels so right in my hands right now.

Nice! I am playing with the xbox elite controller, but the paddles feel terrible for me, so I just play bumper jumper like I used too. Lol.

I have one too and I just can’t adjust to the paddles. I use one for “A” when I play Witcher because it’s easier to run and turn instead of holding the “A” button, but in a shooter it throws me off. As for the control scheme, I always hated Halo 3’s controls. In CE & Halo 2, “X” was reload and pick up a weapon. They moved that to the bumper. I hated it. So with the Elite controller, I did … well, click the link in my signature, it’s a diagram for programming Universal Reclaimer (or “Default” in Reach and Halo 4) with button mapping. I love having melee on the bumper. Not reload. Can’t explain why.

I use the elite controller for Halo 5 and Call of Duty lol
I prefer beer but downloading it now… Can’t believe it’s been 10 years. I remember coming home from school shocked because it came a day early. I was 14.
I’d say still the most ‘special’ Halo release to date.
