I was going into Gamestop today and the manager at the store told me there is a “New Halo” xbox being made.
He said it will be 320 Gigs and Halo themed. At first i thought it was the Reach console but he said it was on the pre-order roster just today.
But, it is absent from the website.
Thoughts? Halo CEA limited edition console possibly?

It’s practically a sure thing. And next year there will be a Halo 4 SE console w/a 500GB HDD, bet on it.
I heard that rumor a couple of days ago also, but I haven’t been able to really find anything other then speculation. I say give it a couple of months and see what may transpire.
Halo 4 would make more sense than CEA.

Did you get a price or release date from him?
Given that the Halo Anniversary is coming, a special edition 360 would not be out of the question. In fact, I would expect there to be one.

(But, that is policy for console pre-orders).

$50 down now, and no release date?
Yeah, that’s not enough information to make anything official. =(
I would bet it’s happening though.
Well if they do make an anniversary edition my Gears of War 3 console pre order will be getting cancelled (well it would if we could pre order it yet lol)

No, we do not have a Halo 320gig system available for preorder at this time.
However, we do have a Gears of War 3 320gig system available, and he may have gotten them confused.
You see, the paper we all got sent with info about stuff after E3 mentioned the Gears system immediately after the info on HCEA being preorderable, so he may have combined the two together.
I plan on selling my original/Reach 360 if a Halo 4 one is ever announced. Then I’ll just play that one until it dies/the next gen comes out.
I still regret not buying the Halo 3 one.

I’d kinda hoped they wouldn’t do this. Now I’ll have 3 Xboxes, and then 4 next year.
I only have 3 TVs!
I’d love to say it’ll have to be good to make me buy it, but I’m gonna be honest, if they write Halo on it, I’ll buy it.

I’ve still got my Halo 3 console, Halo Reach console and original launch console (I’ve also had and sold a 20gb premium, Elite and 360 S). I would only consider selling my launch console, would never sell a limited edition.

I know the guy said this showed up in the system just recently in the aftrernoon today.
