I’ve noticed this since the first day but it hasn’t been fixed yet. I love using the Bumper Jumper button layout in all Halo games. But in Halo 3, which is the game that introduced Bumper Jumper, has an incorrect button layout. I’m not sure if it’s the same issue in other Halo games in the collection, but in Halo 3, LB does not do what it’s supposed to do in a vehicle.
For example, when I try to roll in a Banshee, the game’s in game popup tutorials will say to “Hold LB + LS to perform banshee tricks” or something like that. However, if I follow the game’s instructions, LB does not do anything at all while in a vehicle. It doesn’t stop the warthog, it doesn’t pop wheelies in the ghosts or wraiths. It took a bit to figure out, but the LB button while in a vehicle was mapped to the A button even though the game itself still thinks LB is the correct button for Bumper Jumper (which it’s supposed to). I’m sure 343i just wasn’t aware of it as this should be a quick fix that they’ve already done for other Halo games in the collection. Hopefully this can be addressed in the next update or patch.
