So whenever I try to play Halo 3 or ODST, it takes about 5 minutes to load up the main menu. Then, when I try to play campaign or multiplayer, it loads up 1% per minute. I really need help, I miss Halo 3!
Hello Jack7965,
I would like to inform you that its probably just the game itself, but i could be wrong. I’ve had that issue in the past and i looked at it again and found out its just the disk. If it slowed during Multiplayer then that could be slow traffic, but that wouldnt occur due to the moderate population in Halo 3. What i could suggest to you is check the disk and see if there any scratches or smudges and clean them. Once you do that, let it sit for 10 seconds, then put it in the disk tray and start it up. From there the loading screen problem should cease. Let us know if hhe changes occur,
go to your dashboard from there instead of playing the game press X on it and you can download it, this should help.

Installing the game to your hard drive actually results in even slower load times because Halo 3 was not optimized for the feature.
Feel free to install Halo 3: ODST though, this game was optimized.

Wow…i completely forgot we can do that, XD. Yet, hopefully Jack7965 has space in his HD, but i dont think he would have that problem.
@Jack7965
Follow what ExoticSsss and Moa’s suggestion and see how that turns out, :). Let us know if it the problem was resolved, :).
Hello JACK7965.
It seems like everyone was nice enough to tell you what to do! Thanks to all who helped out JACK, here.
To JACK, I suggest installing Halo 3: ODST, and checking for scratches and dirt on both. It may also be a disk drive problem…
