Although these forums are not exactly thriving, I saw fit to post this here. We are all here mainly for one reason when it comes down to it, to try to make Halo 3 what it once was, or at least we talk about it and think of the past…yet nothing seems to be getting done.

We must admit the fact that Halo 3 isn’t ever going to be highly populated again, the attempts to “re-populate” Halo 3 are sadly VERY ineffective. So what now? How can we come close to the experience we had before with the few people left on the server, and re-population fails? That is easy my friends, we come together.

You see, we are very dedicated members of the Halo community that centrally focuses on Halo 3, thus it would be wise to play Halo 3 with one another. I am sure it would be one hell of a fun time playing customs, going into matchmaking parties, etc, with one another. Imagine a lobby filled with guys passionate about Halo 3, nostalgia bursting through the air, and nearly every player having a mic. Sounds too good to be true to me, or does it?

The point of this thread is to attempt to recruit players with any skill-set that is passionate about Halo 3 into a new clan. Clan is often a bad word to use in situations like these, as the thought of dedication, planning, and so on comes into mind. I propose that a clan be built that focuses on great game nights between all of us on the weekends with Halo 3, whether it be Campaign, Custom Games, or of course, matchmaking.

Attendance will not be mandatory by any degree, but having a group of players that all have the thought that some great guys will be on ready to have an amazing time in Halo 3 that coming weekend will be a great spirit-lifting thought. This is our chance to have these awesome game-nights that we have been dreaming about since the decline of Halo 3’s community.

Please don’t let this slip away, this could be great.

i agree with everything you said and i really do miss though’s days where everyone was playing custom games. im interesited in joining the clan just aslong as long as i dont have to change my name and all that:) and i would be happy to play custom games(especially infection) with anyone my gamertag is Esoteric97 and i got a mic. i got some people on my friends list who play halo 3 with mic’s and i will ask them if they wanna join

While i never played 3 that much i’m keen to play it now. I guess you could say i missed my chance, though Halo 2 got played hard i assure you that.

I’ve all DLC and am from the UK.

Great to see some quick replies!

This clan will primarily be a weekend game night clan that takes place primarily on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as Sundays during the day and into the evening. I have made the decision to make this a weekend clan due to the fact that the work week, (or school week) will be easier to trudge through knowing that the weekend holds great experiences. Another very obvious reason is because of the fact that Halo 3 is MUCH more populated during the weekends.

This will, however, be discussed with clan members if game nights during the week are to be scheduled. For now the clan is primarily weekend-only.

My apologies for the lack of maintaining this thread and keeping it alive. I have been VERY busy lately with finals and graduation plans, etc.

This summer I will be free during the week at night for many nights, even on weekends as well. I propose that we set a starting date for the clan.

What I mean is that we can chose a specific date to OFFICIALLY START the clan as a summer clan, (if the clan goes well we can continue the clan even after summer.)

Leave me your thoughts, we can still have the nostalgic fun we had years ago!

This is fantastic idea. I currently at uni and actually sold halo 3 when reach came out (a mistake that i regret to this day) but once university is finished for the summer, im going straight to the store and buying ODST so i get all the maps.

Yoyoyoyo. I hate the idea of a “clan” but I’m keen to get on Halo 3 and pump some customs or MM. I’ll add a few of you. Add me aswell!!

I’m currently playing more than 20 hours a week and Halo 3 is the only game I play. I am very interested, but I don’t have a mic; was always too lazy to buy one. If it is a necessity I will try to buy one ASAP. My GT is Releece. Really looking forward to this. Have always thought I should join a clan to get more out of the Halo 3 experience so I’m very thrilled!

Again, sorry about not maintaining or updating this thread, and the clan hasn’t gotten much attention by me. Let me just say that I have now GRADUATED high school, and will be attending college next fall, but for the summer I am free most nights.

How about this one to think about: Let’s start TONIGHT!

Whoever is available to play, I will be on Halo 3 ALL NIGHT for matchmaking, and customs. LET’S DO THIS, MATES!
