Honestly Halo 5 MP feels really off and broken… the physics and movement feel outrageously stiff and slow… nothing hits… and that run and slide stuff is awful lol.
Halo 3 was by far the best feeling Halo game for multiplayer… Im waiting on Halo 3 Anniversary edition lol. Most likely gonna skip Halo 5 and stay on MCC. Hopefully they fix it by then HAHAHAHAHA! crosses fingers

You act like 343i killed Halo right when they got their hands on it. Truth of the matter is Bungie was the one who set the ship on fire and set it off to sea with Halo Reach. 343i was required to salvage it and bring it back to the harbor. They tried to stitch it back up the best they could (Thus Halo 4) and build it the way Bungie left it, but in the end they decided to do the wise thing and abandon it and restart on a new boat that honors that of the original boats Bungie built in the first place.

I agree OP. Halo 5 beta feels like a combination of halo 4 and reach. Everybody is saying that it’s moving toward classic halo mp but it feels nothing like it. Br doesn’t feel right at all. Ads completely changes the way the game feels too

Just because the AR is now a useful weapon doesn’t mean that it has lost it’s competitive edge. Even now, BR starts are going on in Halo 5 and IMO is actually quite competitive. Just because Halo 5 isn’t exactly like Halo 1/2/3 doesn’t necessarily mean that its a bad or terrible game. Now granted, I also think that the AR is a bit too overpowered (please just tone down the range). But even then I had an extremely great time playing with it the first week. The definition of a Sandbox game doesn’t necessarily mean that one weapon must rule all (looks at the BR). And yes, I do think Halo 5 honors certain aspects of Halo 1/2/3. 343i is simply trying to find a viable middle ground into pleasing both old, new, and potential fans they wish to bring into the fold.

Halo 2 and 3 ride the coat tails of the massive success and there is still very little giving it competition…Halo had a hold on the market, and 2 and 3 both benefited from it.
Dont get me wrong- the Original trilogy is great enough to be considered classic and a trailblazer… But don’t go getting twisted on the competition of the market- especially the FPS market during the dates of your two examples.
None of us here worship Bungie, so to say “but Bungie did Reach” isn’t really insightful. Yes, we are well aware that Bungie did Reach. I’m also well aware that 343I fixed Reach up and helped make CEA. That does not excuse Halo 4.

All I see is people who don’t understand what makes halo. I see a bunch of people who claimed they played the old games. They never did. People like this are why 343 is going the trash direction of the halo 4 garbage. You guys have ruined the game that lead to fun and entertainment in homes everywhere now you all get to sit alone while trying to find a game when your active players drop to 50. Halo multiplayer is officially dead. They should remove it and just go with the story.
