So this has been posted before from years ago, but I am unable to find a workaround to this problem. The “UNSC Spartan” achivement in Halo 3, awarded for getting 12 Exp in any single playlist. However, this achievement is bugged for me; I’ve gotten the “graduate” achivement (gain 5 exp in any single playlist or play 10 games on XBL matchmaking) and the Spartan Officer + Lightswitch achivement (which could be obtained by gaining 50 exp in XBL matchmacking) already but for some reason, UNSC Spartan did not unlock for me. I suspected that this may be due to the fact that I obtained the 50 exp in the 7 on 7 playlist and somehow bugged it; subsequently, I tried again by getting 50 exp in the rumble pit playlist. Note that prior to this, i have not played 7 on 7 nor rumble pit ever on my account. Even after getting 50+ Exp in both 7 on 7 and rumble pit, the achivement still has not unlocked.
I am growing increasingly concerned about this, as the window for obtaining these windows is rapidly closing due to the sunsetting of the legacy halos and their XBL services. Furthermore, I know that I am not alone in this regard, as I personally know several others who also have the same bug and has had no luck in obtaining the UNSC Spartan achivement when in this situation. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know; however, I suspect that this cannot be remidied by player action and requires support directly from Microsoft/343/whoever’s currently in-charge of maintaining achivement services on the XBOX 360.
