Halo 3 Troubles

Well, today me and a few of my XBL friends decided to go back to Halo 3 to have a good ol’ fun Legendary Campaign playthrough… We never got to play it due to the fact (Now note there was three of us) all of our 360s froze up, we are all on different consoles in different places in the world. Now we noticed that before they froze that we were having problems with the common XBL services such as recieving message as none of us could recieve invites, join each others session in progress, or even SEND the game invites. We tried to fix this by restarting our Xboxs, which DIDN’T HELP! It got worse as when we came back online for all of us and our friends it said we were offline (Even though NONE of us applied the “Appear offline setting”) and were STILL unable to recieve, or send a message to see what had happened. I personally tried to join others partys and was unable to do so as no matter how many times I tried would always recieve a message back saying “Unable to connect to party”. It took over 30 minutes for us all to finally appear online and for this terrible glitch to dissapear. We tried this once more an hour later after playing some Social Slayer… AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN! We will not try it again, but what I wish to know is has this happened to anyone else, and is there a way to fix it?

Sounds like your guy’s connections to each other isn’t working out. However I was trying to play H3 on Social Slayer and DAMN is it laggy. I’m sure there’s a reason for both of our problems. I wonder if the H3 servers are being shut down one by one until they go the way of H2.

Welcome to Waypoint, but that sounds like something that should be mentioned on the official Xbox forums.

Ah, thanks… I guess. I’m not really per say “New” to the forums, I’ve just never seen reason to post. You may be right on posting this on the Xbox forums.

Our connection was fine to each other, we all live in the same country (U.S)and had no problem on Halo: Reach MP. We had a few problems in Halo 3s MP but that’s because it’s old Halo 2 servers they are using so there’s bound to be some lagg. I forgot to mention that after the second time we had two of our other friends test it out, and they as well had the EXACT same problem.
