Not sure If you guys knew this, but there was a small title update for Halo 3 (I think the file size was like 950 KB). Not sure what was added or modified.
When I got my Xbox last November and stick in my Halo 3 disc, It never did a update (It was used BTW). And when I decide to put Halo 3 again this January, the game decided to download the update.
no update bro, i played today and there was none.
I thought i heard that Halo 3 was getting removed from live at some point. Dont take that like it is but i thought i read that in the next year Halo 3 will no longer be on live
No disrespect, but I highly doubt it.
I have seen people post that they download a small update for seemingly no reason. It appears to happens if you haven’t played Halo 3 in awhile, but nobody really knows what it does.
It happened to me too, so at least you’re not alone in being crazy if we’re both imagining things…
Maybe the update was giving those who didn’t receive their recon already.

The day Halo 3 is pulled from XBL is the day I no longer play Xbox…period. As lame as it sounds, Halo 3 was a huge part of my life during my high school years. No multiplayer game even comes close. It’ll be a very sad day if/when it gets removed.
Your Xbox will delete those kinds of updates if you haven’t played the game in a long time.
Leave the game go for awhile and I guarantee you’ll end up downloading that same update later on, and it will be the exact same file size.

If Microsoft/343 remove Halo 3 from live before Xbox 360 goes offline, I will send a petition to the White House asking them to force Microsoft into putting them back.
