Does anyone agree that halo 3 is better then halo 4 , i am so disapointed to be saying this . Halo 4 just isnt balanced Boltshot is overpowered and DMR outshines everyother Primary weapon
Halo 2/3= Arena Style Halo
Halo Reach/4 = Tactical Style Halo
I Love both but I wish we could have more Arena style gameplay.

I played Halo 3 the other day just for laughs. The UI and after game reports are superior, but gameplay I didn’t find it better, slow and nostalgic, but not better IMO. Both are equally frustrating to lose at though.
I’ve never liked using the term “better” for something like this. My favorite game of all time is Mario 64, but I wouldn’t say it is “better” than every other game ever made. There’s just no objective way it could be true. But just because something is objectively better doesn’t mean it is more fun, or preferred.
I had more fun with Halo Reach than I ever had with Halo 2/3/4 online, and if I tried to claim Reach was “better” than them most here would crucify me. Why, because they didn’t have as much fun with Reach. “Fun”. Than unquantifiable variable that doesn’t effect the quality of a product, but the enjoyment. So even though Halo Reach looked better, sounded better, had more features, and better features than other Halo games many here do not prefer it.
Also to be fair to Halo 4, is it fair to compare a 2 month old game to another that has several map packs, and already had its major title update? Obviously Halo 3 wasn’t perfect when released either if it needed a major TU to “fix it”.

Agree, I don’t like halo 4. It’s not a terrible game, but it’s not a good one either, a hollow shell of the Halo universe with the cream filling removed and replaced with something bland and tasteless.
It reminds you of Halo, but it’s not Halo. Nothing is “improved”, it’s just different, and there’s a great deal less of it too. The Prometheans are terrible enemies, not at all fun to fight. Their weapons are boring and uninteresting, and the game’s campaign FORCES them on you. The music is forgettable at best, you can mute it and not notice a difference. The new design ethic feels like it doesn’t even belong in the same evolutionary tree as Halo, especially the new Spartan IVs and Marine BDUs. The new multiplayer format, why try to be like Call of Duty; Halo was distinct, this is just depressing. Spartan OPs makes me miss Firefight, which I originally didn’t care for in the first place, but at least Firefight mixes it up a bit instead of throwing the same mission and recycled audio back at you. Worst of all the fireshare is STILL broken 2 months after release.
It also doesn’t feel worth the asking price. Content-wise it lines up more with ODST than Reach or even 3.
Again, I won’t say it’s a terrible game, it’s just not a good one, and what irritates me is that this is what we’re getting now instead of real Halo.

I prefer CE/4 over 3 and 3 over 2.
I hated H3. I’m liking H4 but it has some serious issuis.

agreed. I’m not even speaking from nostalgia. I played halo 3 for the first time in the fall of 2011. Halo 3 is far more fun than halo 4.
I think that the Halo franchise should’ve ended with Halo 3. MS & 343i are just milking it.
