Halo 3 solo legendary

How hard is it? I want to complete it and I’m gonna start tonight. I’ve done 3 co-cop legendary and Reach solo legendary. Reach was definitely the harder of the two IMO. How will 3 on solo legendary compare to Reach?

Have fun on 3’s vehicle sections. Unlike Reach, you actually need anti-vehicle weaponry (not a sniper/dmr) to take down vehicles in Halo 3. Choppers will wreck you in seconds.

Legendary snipers are infinitely more dangerous on 3, with the ability to one hit kill you the second they spot you.

Also, Halo 3’s Cortana mission on Legendary will probably be harder than any other mission you’ve played on Reach.

Legendary Chieftains on 3 will give you a run for your money, but everything else is only moderately difficult compared to Reach. 3’s Brutes aren’t as annoying as Reach Elites, which are constantly spamming evade and rolling around trying to avoid your shots. Seriously, I had to go back and check to see if I had the Tough Luck skull on, and it turns out that’s how Elites in Reach move normally. Brutes in Reach are also annoying, only instead of evade, they spam armor lock.

Honestly, Reach may seem harder overall, but its difficulty comes from cheap buffs to help the enemy AI survive longer.

Will be more challenging than reach but it will be an epic challenge, halo3 campaign is so fun to complete on legendary, tho you may get stressed, you’ll still love it!!

I think Reach is more harder on Legendary than 3. I get mad earlier in Reach than 3, those elites in Reach are dont give a -Yoink-, mainly when they also get angry.
Reach = Extreme Elite party

Halo 3 was honestly a push-over. And I wouldn’t say elites dodging your bullets is a cheap buff unless you want to call strafing in Matchmaking also a cheap tactic. It’s the same thing really.

Well I’ve beat every mission except the last so far and compared to Reach it was a piece of cake. The only mission that gave me even a bit of trouble was The Storm when you have to take out the anti-air crap and the wraith with tons of ghosts and a pair of banshees flying around. Even that part only held me up for ~20 mins tops. Cortana was WAY easier than I expected, it is simply a matter of running backwards while shooting and then advancing once everything is dead. All that’s stopped me from finishing this is a lack of time but in the next few days I plan to knock this one out. I’m not expecting Halo to give me any kind of trouble, after all I always thought Cortana was tons harder. Honestly, 3 on Legendary is similar to Reach on Heroic. They are not even in the same league as far as difficulty goes.

At least with Halo 3 I could use different weapons other than BR/noob combo 24/7 to grind through.

Also, if your hitbox changes drastically while you’re strafing then yes, it is a cheap tactic. The only time elites should be rolling out of the way is when I try fragging them. In reach, elites were rolling around for almost every bullet I fired from my gun. The AI didn’t get smarter, they just spammed evade more often. Just one of many examples of Bungie lazily pushing their last Halo game out as quickly as possible.

Halo 3 was the first Halo I was able to complete on legendary. In fact, I still haven’t beaten CE & 2 on legendary (going to try it in the MCC) but I’ve beaten 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo 4 all on legendary and I gotta say, Halo 3 was not the hardest, but it’s pretty frustrating.

You’ll have three biggest enemies: Flood, Carbines, & Golden Brutes. Jackals and Grunts also like to walk around with their Plasma pistols charged and ready to go, so watch out for that.

Just pace yourself. Try to do a mission a night or, for the larger missions, break it up by checkpoints.

it all wasnt that hard to me thats because i love the old halos and i am really good at them but im sure you will get through if you use good tactics and strong firearm you will prevail (:

Long live the MLG jackal snipers. I loved running Halo 3 Legendary solo. It’s a great challenge and a lot of fun.

Not to bad on legendary… It will be fun doing laso on the mcc…

Lol what?? So you want smarter enemies, but you only what them to move away when you through a grenade, not when you shoot them, sounds like you need to l2p.

OT: Halo 3 isn’t that hard on legendary, even Cortana which every one seems to have problem with isn’t as difficult as say the Library from CE. If you can do Reach on legendary you should be able to do 3.

Halo 1 on Legendary makes Halo 3’s Legendary seem like child’s play.

I’ll be honest with you, Halo 3 is easy on legendary, maybe the level ‘‘Cortana’’ would give you some trouble but if you want to know about hard try combat evolved and halo 2 on legendary

When i first played it, HARD but now …LOL

Its pretty challenging but nothing is worse than ODST Solo Legendary! and the E.O.D. armor is soo sweet for a reward

There were some hard parts like the mission Cortana but it was all worth it.

I used to hate doing that mission! Gravemind used to scare the -Yoink- out of me when he’d randomly start talking

It is hard. I did it over the summer and you really gotta have absolutely nothing to do to spend the time doing it.

Not to hard, just take your time and use tricks and such. My advice, learn how to do things such as weapon juggling, and taking down shields with plasma pistols and such.
