So as we know, the old beam rifle is coming back, but wich sniper do you prefer first?
H3 sniper or beam rifle? Beam mate, as long as you pace your shots no cooldown. Also how does the H5 sniper differ from the H3 sniper?

The skin I suppose, the classic Halo feeling holding it
I miss sniper night vision
Just like the Halo 2 BR it may have different things that come along with it. Might shoot faster, switch weapons faster. Might have a speedboost, or may just be a different look to the weapon overall. Excited to see it overall though.
Though in hopes of sparking up a further conversation on this thread, I would also have to say I prefer the Beam Rifle over the UNSC Sniper. Due to as mentioned above no reloads, and if you are careful you can easily avoid overheating. Of course I have noticed that the lens flare from the Beam Rifle compared to the UNSC Sniper, the Beam Rifle is much brighter and easier to see. Which may be their way of balancing it.
I liked the Reach sniper.

Yeah, I remember the Reach sniper it looked really barbaristic and felt like a heavy sniper
The Halo 3 sniper rifle? Are you kidding me?
Here’s the thing: back then, the sniper rifles didn’t have a lot of bullet magnetism (if any). The sniper rifle in Halo 5 is drenched in bullet magnetism. You know how hard it is to get a snapshot in Halo 3 compared to Halo 4 or Halo 5? I get snapshots in Halo 5 without even trying (and I suck at sniping). The only way I’ve ever gotten a snapshot in Halo 3 required me to have camo, playing the game in an Imax theater, a bottle of Ritalin, three Redbull’s, and some smooth Kenny G playing to keep everything balanced. Then I pulled one off. One time. Under the best circumstances. lol
I’m kidding, it’s not that bad. I mean, the snipers do have a ridiculous amount of magnetism nowadays, but I’m in the camp of “add as many classic things as possible”, so I say “why not?”

yeah, I know it’s easyer to snapshot spartans in Halo 5, that’s why I like the old school Halo sniper because when a guy used to sniper, that meant he good at it. That sniper wasn’t for everyone, that sniper needed a skille spartan

I was gonna say. If people don’t know the difference between the Halo 3 sniper and any other in the series, they need to check it out ASAP.
I think Halo 5 and Reach’s sniper had the most bullet magnetism - and in Halo 3 you even had the “headshot glitch” making it even harder.
One thing that pisses me off about “classic weapons” is that if they’re so damn good in the first place and everyone wants to use them, why did they even get changed. I understand the Halo 2 BR and CE Magnum, as those things were basically a power weapon in its own right, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
