I THINK HALO REACH SNIPER SHOULD MAKE A RETURN
What’s the difference?
Also, your capslock button appears to be on.
WHY ARE WE YELLING?
Also, Halo 3 Sniper. But the Reach sniper is more accurate, sooo… Meh.

You seriously need to stop posting threads. There’s enough threads to post in already without starting new ones.

Halo 3 sniper was more harder than halo reach one, didn’t you know that

That’s only due to that fact that Halo Reach uses hitscan, and Halo 3 did not.
Honestly though, I don’t see the point of discussion here. The sniper rifle has barely changed through the course of the series. I much prefer Reach’s look, but I like Halo 3’s in that it wasn’t a primary anti-vehicle weapon.

This sentence hurts every part of my brain at once.
Umm you forgot the Halo 2 sniper. If you have been playing for that long.

The reason the Reach sniper is so easy to use is because of the massive head hitboxes. You can shoot someone in the shoulder or upper back while they are running away from you and get the headshot.
They all function practically the same except in the rate that they fire and use of hitscan. If you are asking me which rate of fire I prefer, I’ll take Reach’s; not too fast, not too slow and quite accurate in my opinion.

If you shoot a guy in the upper back and it goes through to the head, that person should die. I have never encountered these situations where people claim they shoot a person in the shoulder and hit the head. Every time I hear about that, lag is usually a viable explanation for the phenomenon. That and bullet magnetism.
Reach’s Sniper could be used by a child and it would still be deadly. I miss when the Sniper was the strongest weapon in the game, only if you knew how to use it properly.
> That and bullet magnetism.
If the Covenant had thought of using magnetic bullets, there probably wouldn’t be a Halo 4.

Go to 3:27 to see the Reach headshot hitbox,as you can see it includes a lot of area that shouldn’t be taken into consideration as a headshot.
Also I agree that the Halo 3 sniper was better in the sense that it wasn’t an anti vehicle weapon.
Halo 3 sniper, the reach sniper is easy to use. Most players are godly with it.
I would choose the Halo 3 sniper because the hitbox is smaller, it didn’t destroy vehicles with 4 shots, and it has recoil making it harder to get multikills for less skilled players. The Halo: Reach sniper allows almost anyone to pick it up and get a Sniper Spree/Multikill their first time.

yes, that’s bullet magnetism. In Reach, it’s turned so that the bullet will travel toward the head so long as the reticule is red and on the head (even if the center of the reticule isn’t). I’m not saying it’s good, but it has nothing to do with the size of the hitbox.

Well if that is do to bullet magnetism then I hope that they don’t include it in Halo 4.
