I first got Halo 3 on Christmas Morning 2007 along with my Xbox 360 Pro console I hardly got any sleep the night before because i was playing Halo 2, so much hyping myself up for Halo 3. When Christmas morning came around i woke up around 5am ran straight to the Christmas tree and ripped open the Xbox 360! and the rest is history 3 awesome years of Halo 3… i have only stopped playing because the population is dead which is a great shame. Anyway share your experiences and Memories
Well, there’s countless memories that I cherish on Halo 3. I can honestly say that Halo 3 is not only my favorite Halo game, but my favorite game of all time. I’ve had the most fun with Halo 3 and have played Halo 3 more than any other game.
Anyway, some notable memories…Playing with friends. The campaign, wow. So much fun taking down two scarabs on Legendary with a group of friends. Attempting to get the campaign achievements. Lulz were had. Fun times were had. It was an experience like no other. When I finally bought the 360, I bought Halo 3 with it. I had a blast with it, to say the least. Sandtrap CTF…oh man. Brings back memories. I didn’t play a lot of custom games until later, but nonetheless Matchmaking and Campaign were extremely fun. I remember playing Rumble Pit with my friends. Swords…Haha, I was such a noob.
Anyhow, the map packs came out and more fun came. Now looking back I don’t regret any second on Halo 3. It brings me great nostalgia, to be honest. I think it’ll forever remain my favorite game of all time. I’m sad that it’s almost dead. I know I can still play the game and the servers aren’t shut down like Halo 2. So, I should be grateful. Even so, I will miss the good ol days. Back in Halo 3’s hay day where I would go on my friends list and see literally everybody playing it. It’s what really got me into gaming and, as corny as it sounds, it’ll forever have a special place in my heart.
Halo 3
The rise of the Machinima Culture. I would have to say Halo 3 was a very big inspiration for my story-telling nature. It has also changed my plans from being a Game Developer to being a Story Teller or Writer.
Then of course there was the butt-load of Infection Games that made every day enjoyable. Halo 3 was my favourite Xbox 360 Game then. Eventually Halo 3’s first feelings started to die down and I grew tired of the Gameplay and Matchmaking plus Modern Warfare 2 made all my XBL Buddies leave Halo Completly. Now with Halo: Reach, that feeling was rejuvinated and renewed.

To be honest, I loved machinima a lot better when people used Halo 3. I barely watch machinima any more. I only watch Arby ‘n’ the Chief and RvB. I think people should use Halo 3 more. Just because Reach is a newer game doesn’t make it better.
