Halo 3 says I need an account with gold??

Just got halo 3 on my one x. Downloaded all dlc. I have gold and when I go to multiplayer it tells me to sign into an account with Xbox live gold?? What am I missing?

I don’t want to sound like an -Yoink-, but do you currently have Gold Membership?

I looked them up on 360 smartglass and it shows that they do have gold.

Maybe your account ran out of gold and turned into a silver account?

Just because your account is gold, doesn’t mean it’s “gold”. Let me explain. If you share an Xbox or have more than one account, and let’s say your brothers account bought the membership but due to Microsoft’s new sharing ability you have gold as well. Well with backwards compatible games, your account needs to be the “main” profile with the membership. Otherwise you will only be allowed to play social games.

I’m sorry but that is beyond absurd what the actual -Yoink- 2ere they even thinking implementing this -Yoink-?
