Has anyone noticed that their aim appears to be somewhat off in Halo 3? As if auto aim isnt working at all or as if it is locking on it everything? I am not sure what exactly is the problem, but clearly, something is wrong… If you aim at a wall, (and this holds particularly true with a sniper rifle) that has a straight line, and you try to follow that line, either up and down or side to side, your aim will waiver, like a snake swimming down a pond. Please 343i look into this. Something is wrong with Halo 3 itself. Please comment here if you have noticed the same thing, this glitch desperately needs attention.
Totally agree,I’ve noticed the same thing!!
This makes halo 3 unplayable for me!the thing I was most looking forward to in the MCC was less input lag due to 60fps.but this is something different altogether.Something seriously wrong with the way H3 is running!!
PLEASE 343 FIX THIS
Bump. This needs to be seen.
Auto-aim kicks in when you look at/near players (red reticule). Easiest way to tell is to look at someone and let them move left and right and see if your aim auto moves with the player movement. I cant test this now, but from my few games in H3 it seems to work normal. You need to understand auto-aim does not work/kick in when looking at objects/geometry, only players.

Thats what I am saying, the game seems as if it is locking on to objects… Thats probably not at all what is actually going on, probably something much more technical, but that is the best comparison. The point it, aiming seems to have become difficult now. I am not the only one that has experienced this, I have heard many others complain about the same thing. I didn’t notice it at first myself either, until someone pointed it out, I just thought my skill with a H3 BR had decreased. It minute to the point that you just think your aim is off, but its the game itself.
Give this a try and you will see what I am talking about:
Load up a game of Snipers on Narrows. Aim across the map at any wall, that has a clear vertical line. Now, try and slowly follow that line up or down. Your aim will falter, It will snake side to side across the line, or go off on a tangent, rather than follow it. The same thing happens if you try and follow a vertical line, you aim will be off. Just try it.
Bump. This needs to be addressed.
Thank you black rooster for posting this! He made a video showcasing the problems in Halo 3
No Sir,I didn’t make this video, but the guy who put this up on youtube nailed the problems with aiming and movement in halo 3 MCC.
I just hope 343i looks into this and patches this soon.I’m not going to do any complaining about how they released an unfinished game,i’m too big of a
halo fan and i’m sure it will get fixed. As long as the halo 3 wonky aiming is part of the fix,i’ll be happy!!
I also feel that when turning or looking around, it starts off slow and then it goes to the full sensitivity speed. That really threw my aim off.
