Is it still possible to get this armour after unlocking all VidMaster Achievements on Halo 3 (and ODST MP)? I’m just wondering cause that’s the only armour I’d like to have in Halo 3 because it looks amazing in that game. Thanks
It doesn’t seem to be. It was apparently linked to something on the bungie.net site, but now it’s about Destiny so if you don’t have recon now then you most likely never will 
but just like with other armor in the game some of them need certain things to happen, like either getting skulls or something else, they could have dont that with the recon armour after the event giving everyone recon, but i didnt have live or my main account at the time but was playing Halo 3 during it
Im asuming no because you needed to use bungies wed site to do it, like litery hit a button on a page that wont load anymore, becuase it dosnt exist anymore. “As far as i know”
No. The services to unlock Recon armour have been retired.
If you did not get it when 343 gave it away for free (a decision I disagree with), then you can no longer get it even if you do it the legit way via the Vidmaster achievements.

^ This. There is no way to unlock Recon in Halo 3 anymore, as of now.
dang that sucks, well thank you all for informing me, but i do wonder if they would be generous to give it to me, i know that wont happen. so now ill never be able to get all armor augmentations for one of my all time halo games. sad face
No, it’s not longer possible and hasn’t been for a number of years now. I’m sorry. 
I wish there was. Now I’ll probably never complete my collection in Bungie’s games
