I’d love to see the classic Recon helmet from Halo 3 make a comeback in H5. The Recon helmet they have now is based off of the H4 variant. Seeing as they’ve brought back previous iterations of helmet/armor variants, I’d like to see the OG Recon added to the mix!
Anyone else have any helmet/armor variants they’d like to see added?
I would also like to see Master Chief’s ACTUAL helmet and armor in Halo 5. The current “Mark VI” helmet looks like the Halo 2/Halo 3 Helmet. Chief’s armor changed in H4 and it’s definitely not a variant in H5. The helmet looks tweaked and the shoulder pads aren’t the same at all.

The shoulder pads were changed so that the Spartans could lift their arms or something above their heads… that is 343’s reasoning for changing how the armour looks. Oh, and to make it “canon friendly” they introduced the “nanomachine surface” that can change the firmware on MJOLNIR suits during phases like cryo.

Ahh. So, you’re telling me there’s a chance! Lol, but seriously? That sounds like a nifty little loophole to factor in an excuse for poor problem solving.
