Ok, I am wondering once all the stuff have been moved to Waypoint servers will thatmean you will no longer be able to get the Recon armor for Halo 3 or keep it (since you need to activate it on Bungie.net to activate it) nor keep the Blue flames?

I’m pretty sure 343 will make recon available to everybody. Becouse it’s actual game asset, it’s in game, and being not able to use it becouse of a silly data transfer? No that would be a huge sitback.
Anyway telling this i do hope if they are giving recon, they do make a challange to get it, just like bungie’s road to recon or so. Why you ask?
Cos recon was always a special armor, and it must stay like this. Also, no i don’t have recon myself and i wouldn’t be mad if other peaple will get it without moving a finger, but myself, a huge fan of halo, who bought xbox and halo games recently, i’d like to fight my way to recon.
I’m not the one to command here, but what i know for certain, 343 must make recon armor somehow usable for those who didn’t stand a chance to get it before, or new players to halo 3 which there are surely a lot.
Now about the bungie chest plate, i think that this one must be forgotten and left just for bungie staff, since no body could ever get it and thats fairly right.
Flaming helmet?
Same.
Loosing those nameplates?
Sucks, but hey, you can’t get everything for nothing.

You say it’s an in-game asset, so it should be unlocked for others (or at least have a way to unlock it). Well, so is the Bungie chest piece. Whether they have a way to unlock it after the end of the month is unknown but form what I’ve seen and heard, I doubt there will be unless they just give it to everybody.
But only time will tell if it will be unlockable
