Hello, I have contacted lots of 343 employees on twitter but none of them seem to respond! This is my last option. Basically, all I want is to unlock the Recon armor in Halo 3. Please, that’s all I ask for. I know we’re supposed to wait until we automatically get it unlocked, but I’ve been playing Halo 3 since it’s release date and still no Recon. Please, I know there are always admins here and there on these forums. At least ONE has to see this post. Please, I just want Recon… 
I think asking for Recon now is a bit late, I’ve been playing since 2008 and don’t have Recon, it’s unlucky but if you want it so bad and have been active, why didn’t you do the vidmaster achievements back when they were on?
In my case at least I think it’s because I hadn’t played Halo 3 much at all in 2011/2012 when they were handing it out. Maybe that’s the case?

Sorry to tell you this, but you are way way WAAAAY too late. As of September 2013, it was confirmed by bs angel herself via Twitter that Recon armour in Halo 3 is no longer being unlocked. At all. This means that no matter how much you beg, or how many Vidmaster achievements you earn, Recon armour is gone and no longer available.

I did have Recon LEGIT unlocked on my other account. But guess what? I got permanently banned from Xbox Live on that account. Sucks for me. So, my cousin gave me his account but he hadn’t unlocked Recon. So that’s why I’m here now. Funny, you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. At least that’s the moral of my story…

I would recommend waiting for the new MC Collection and/or Halo 5: Guardians, 2013 was the last time Recon saw it’s ability to be redeemed.
