Well… I have been playing Halo 3 since 2007, In those 6 years of playing I did the vidmaster achievments 3 times. I was one of the very first players that got the recon armor, but 6 months ago I made a new account (this account) now I know 343 gave everyone recon that played the game at that time, but my problem here is that I dont have it yet, ive read a couple of the forums and they tell to everyone that we have to wait or either contact one of 343 cummunity leaders or something I didnt got a respons… I did got a message back on xboxlive from “The Little Moa” thx for that btw, he told me I have to wait, but its already been 6 months, so I still play alot of Halo 3 and it hurts not having my recon armor because it was my favorite armor of all time, can anyone please tell me if I still can get the recon armor for Halo 3? thx

It ran out of gold and the record was realy bad so I made this my main account.
Same here, I had recon on my old account and had all the vidmasters. Played Halo 3 on that account from day 1 of the release. Now I have this account and I do not have the recon unlocked. I tried to contact 343 but I have not had a response. (real shocker huh?) But I had to make this account because I got a new xbox and my old account was impossible to recover. I couldn’t remember the information, and tried contacting microsoft and hotmail but never succeeded.
yup I think 343 is just too buzy with halo 4 but im sure they can do another wave if they want to… we will see bro I lost my hope, I dont think there going to do it sadly.
Sorry for the late reply, I’m sure that resources are being put towards Halo 4 right now, hence why there has been no waves for Recon armour for a while.
I’ll try and reach out to 343i on Twitter, see if I can get a reply.

Sadly you’ll have to wait until 343 start unlocking Recon again in waves to people. When they will do that is unknown.
Still havn’t got Halo 3 recon armor, why is 343 doing this to us?..
I dont know, Im not great at HALO 3 infact in my mind im horrible, mostly because everyone still playing it are veterans, anyways Its taken forever! When will they give us recon? I just want the chest/helmet gosh, 343 GIVE IT TO US NOW PLEASE!!!

First, please don’t necropost. This thread has been inactive for 6 months.
Secondly, sadly it was confirmed back in September last year that 343 was no longer unlocking Recon armour in Halo 3 on the Xbox 360. That doesn’t mean it wont be unobtainable in the MCC, but there is still nothing officially confirmed about customisation as yet.
Oh waw I can’t believe it already has been a year ago since I talked about me having a problem unlocking recon armor for halo 3 haha I kinda figured out 343 couldn’t do anything about it, it’s not there fault it would have been better if bungie let people unlock recon by just getting those achievements like they did with katana not through bungie’s site it was cool having it at some point on another account but yeah it’s just an armor… lol sorry for making a big deal about it people!

I wish they would bring Halo 3’s Recon variant back to Halo I kind of liked that version more than recent ones
In my opinion, it should have never been given out freely. Countless hours were spent to acheive the Vidmaster achievements, and it feels like a big kick in the rear to have freely given to those who did not work for it.
