The H3 ranking system is head and shoulders above what we have now so I would take that in a heart beat. But the H2 style needs to be implemented if 343 is smart. Hell if they did that with the same number Icons and moons and eclipses that would be the most Epic thing ever.

i was awesome at halo 3 and loved the game a lot i just got put on the limited team 99.9% of the time. so i did slayer and always got xp. i like credits because even when you are max rank you can still buy things. but i doubt that 343 will make anything cool to buy

halo 3, you get 1xp if you WIN the game.
Sadly this was the perfect incentive to WANT to win, and takes away from the good feeling from winning. Ya winning is great and all, but when everyone gets the same prize, who gives a crap?
It’s people like this that truly ran halo straight into the ground. But, in all honesty, 343 wouldn’t go back to this style of progressive ranking either way.

and are you talking about ranked slayer or social?
you cant buy anything in halo 4 so i assume you mean reach and when you hit max rank in reach you wouldve already bought everything considering you get 100 % armory completion at the eclipse rank.

in halo 3 you had ranks, meaning you would play people on your skill level or slightly higher soooo if you were getting people who go 0-15 or 5-13… thats obviously saying something.
i searched ranked solo back in 2008 and still managed to get my 50 you dont have excuses.
anyways i dont want to make you think im being rude so i apologize if i sound like a -Yoink-.
all im saying is that halo 3 had it right with the one exp per win, especially with the playlist exp.

It won’t be Halo 3 ranks don’t worry. I like the Exp/Credit system too, I think it’s a great idea SO LONG AS skill based ranks exist alongside it. We haven’t gotten that yet, but 343i is giving us something like it in less than a month (which I believe the Tournament is a test-run for).
