Halo 3 ranking system

bring it back…

there is not a system that is better than it and everyone wants it

this new ranking system is good miles better than progressive ranking but still no were near as good as halo 3’s

The 1-50 system had a lot of problems. It was by no means perfect. There was a massive skill gap between 50’s, people sold accounts, deranked, and in some cases left, got worse, and no longer deserved it.
The new system wasn’t working properly in the beta. But what it does have is a season based system, eliminating problems 2 and 4, a set comparison score for semipros, eliminating 1, and a system that means you can’t drop below certain ranks before the season ends, preventing 3.
In short, it solves all of the above, or will once the full game comes out.

Once the H5 system is finished and works right, it’ll solve a lot of the problems the 1-50 system had.

Shurifire is right. H3 system was plagued with problems. Great for you if you didn’t find yourself on the wrong end of any of those shortcomings, but trust us when we tell you that they were there, and they led to a lot of negative outcomes for a lot of people.

What specific aspects of the H3 system did you like and why?

All of those problems still exist with the system they used in the BETA. The gap at the top will just be smaller.

How?

I liked the military-style rank progression.

That system was easily screwed. It shouldnt take 20 matches to hit max rank.

My only issue with H5 Beta’s system was that it was too loose, having Gold players play against Semi-Pros (even saw a Copper and silver against Semi-Pros), which could make for both frustrating and boring matches, depending on which side of the butt-kicking you are on.

Bringing back a completely flawed system that encouraged players to get new accounts is not a good answer, imo.
