I hate how the only ranking system we have now is just numbers which doesn’t make the matches exciting. At it means is how much you have been playing
I can’t help but feel that there is another ranking system in the background that decides who you are matched with, as it was insanely easy for me to go from SR1 to SR24 and thereafter became much more challenging to play against other people.
The progression system is not to be confused with the ranking system…
I completely agree. I want Halo 4 to include ranked playlists with all of the old halo settings. To be honest I would buy a play halo 4 if it was exactly the same as Halo 2 or 3 with just new maps, in fact I think that’s what they should do.
I bought the Halo 4 console and limited edition game only to find out that it was more like reach and CoD than to the original halo’s.
I have stopped playing Halo 4 until they add ranks and better playlists as i am thinking to myself what’s the point in playing a game that is trying to be like call of duty than actually playing call of duty.
I just hope the realize their mistakes and fix what they have ruined.
The only way to know if someone is good (what I did in halo reach) is by checking their K/D ratio manually other than that the skill number halo 4 gives you doesnt matter like it did in Halo 3. Players now dont really care if they lose now for that reason. Halo 3 games were intense thanks to the ranking system
Halo 4 currently doesn’t give you any skill number. You may be confusing the progression number with it.

that’s your own fault if you didn’t know anything about what you were paying for. It was quite clear from the start that Halo 4 was trying to mirror CoD.
Your right my mistake. Thats one of the things that made halo, Halo. Sad to see it gone
They’re adding a CSR 1-50 for each playlist in 2013… this will be the ranking system. Right now, it’s invisible, but you’ll be able to see it (via Waypoint) in early 2013.
Should be good enough, if not, have fun with Black Ops 2.
Know that they are tracking all that info now though and are working on a system to show that info.
I miss seeing 5 star generals and brigadier generals in halo 3. I was a 49 brigadier general and spent my whole time trying to get to a 50. pretty fun and challenging
Sounds good I’ll be back in 2013. I can play about 30-45 minutes of Halo 4 before realizing that there is no challenge or reward. Back when we had 1-50 I would play non-stop to improve my game play and gain experience, I was completely hooked. Halo 3 had the ranking system completely worked out (apart from the boosting) and the fact that there was skill level and time played (Exp) taken into account it meant people had it all, now it seems like they are just focusing on bringing new players in and forgetting what made Halo, Halo.
I actually loved the Halo 3 ranking system but to many people boosted to level 50. They got rid of it because there was too much cheating. I don’t like how Halo 4 does not have any mixed game mode playlists like Team Objective or Big Team Battle with CTF and Assault. Which brings me to ask the question where is assault?
Also CTF and SNIPERS in Team Doubles. halo Reach missed that. Im only playing halo 4 waiting for the doubles playlist…and MORE MAPS!!

halo 3 was too easy to rank up in also, bring back halo 2. Average level was in 30s. Right in the middle just like it should be.
