A while ago, Frankie said there was going to be a playlist consolidation for Halo 3 (after Halo 4) those were his exact words. There could be many exciting things that they could do like add Double EXP back every weekend. Or take out some inactive playlists and combine them with others that makes a good pair. I think Halo 3 is in need of one.
Hearing of this, coupled with the fact that Halo 3 is going to be free for Gold members at some point in the next few months, makes me excited. Can’t wait to see more people playing the game again.

Playlist consolidation doesn’t mean they will be fully supporting the online matchmaking of Halo 3 again, updating/adding new playlists or adding double XP weekends etc. All it means is that they will be removing some of the playlists and putting the associated gametypes into another existing playlist. This reduces stress on the servers allowing for faster search times (due to there being less playlists to monitor). That is all we will ever see for his game now, and will most likely be the last “update” it gets.
yea swat and snipers would be a good one.When its free it will bring in alot of people. If AC2 had more people when it was free than halo 4 (witch it did)than halo 3 will defiantly surpass it.
They said the same thing about Reach and never followed through. If Halo 3 gets a playlist consolidation and cleans some stuff up it would be a miracle to see Halo 3 updated.
Well actually they did do a consolidation for Reach last year in August. They removed like 4 games i belive, including BTB Annaversary.

yeah but they had plans to do more and never followed through. Now reach sits in some awkward state of half consolidated and gametypes that could have been put into one playlist. Also the removal of the dlc only playlist was a huge loss. I never see the dlc maps anymore.
Yeah removing the DLC playlist was kina dumb. They did it because there wern’t that many people playing them. In witch a way is good. But they should have just combined them with other playlists.
