Halo 3 PC's Biggest Problem Right Now

This is my first post so hello everyone

I would like to highlight a major issue I’ve found with mouse and controller inputs in the Halo 3 flight.

It has been known for a long time that controller players have aim assist that lets them position their crosshair at their enemy much more easily, and in games like Halo 3 with projectile-based bullets, there is also the addition of bullet magnetism which essentially attracts the bullets you shot to the enemy you’re aiming somewhat close to. This is all fine and dandy since it has been in the game since og but when you add mouse into the picture it’s a very different story.

My main issue is that without bullet magnetism on mouse even when you aim directly at an enemy your bullets will fly past their shoulder and not even hit despite your crosshair being pointed directly at them. On controller, this is not a problem since players will have that extra magnetism to attract the bullets to your enemy ensuring that they will hit when your crosshair is pointed at the enemy.

The level of magnetism is also insane when you are playing with controller, and there are many videos on youtube showcasing the large range that bullets can home onto a player.

Some solutions I have thought of so far are:

  1. Removing Magnetism completely from mouse and controller (this would be very very unlikely and is a bad idea since magnetism has been in the game since Xbox 360)
  2. Adding some magnetism to mouse at least within the crosshair (the best option in my opinion)

There are a lot of issues about the Controller vs mouse player and I know is frustrating when Crossplay with Xbox and Windows 10 will active many Spartan will speak about that maybe 343 can reduce on Crossplay and PC controller the aim assit to less 30%

Here we go again the never ending gripe.:roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Feel free to use any of the existing aim assist topics in the MCC forums for this
