Isnt this cheating when they pickup to overshield to activate it later?

There’s a glitch in Halo 3 that allows the Host of a match to swap equipment for the Overshield pickup on map. This is because the OS, Camo, and Custom orbs were all considered equipment and usually get automatically used. However, the host can get a bit closer to the orbs and physically swap them into their inventory when crouch-walking iup to it while holding the Reload button.
This means a player could stand next to another equipment, and swap for it. This would cause the player to immediately pickup the stored powerup and essentially use it in places that could unabalance gameplay.
Also, should a player die while holding it, the orb appears where they died and any player can then pick it up.
